i feel deeply justified for hating contemporary video games. older games, espc early 3d games, had this aura of exploration and world inhabitance. that is no longer what games are about, and it seems like that's not what people even want anymore. at least not in the primary desire.

getting somewhere. terrain generation with @bevyengine.org. not sure what's up with the black blobs, probably something with the normals. each chunk here is 256x256 vertices. been trying to test that there are no overlaps or gaps in the terrain, which has proven to be difficult
