A big ol' day for all things Wrexham today. Safe travels to all those Reds making the trip to Mansfield for the men, or to Swansea for the women✊ A couple of massive, massive games.

Seeing as today's his birthday, it's only right to post Mark McGregor's thunderbolt against Gillingham back in 2000. An absolute rocket👏

28 years to the day since probably my favourite ever Wrexham game - capped off by King Karl's toe poke and the memorable sight of that old fella celebrating. Lovely stuff! Here's hoping for another decent away performance today💪 Safe travels to those Reds making the trip to Northampton.

Nothing quite blows the cobwebs off like an early morning blast of the Transformers: The Movie soundtrack. So many bangers, so many memories, so many lines of insta-quotable dialogue that spring to mind. Lovely stuff👌 www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_2_...

It's that time of the year when I again get swept up by about 7 hours of excellent pre-game hype shows, think maybe this is the year that NFL clicks for me, get properly pumped for the game itself... only to be left baffled and bored by 39 seconds of the game itself. Either way, Go Chiefs!

All hail to the King... A massive Happy Birthday to one of the greatest players to ever pull on a Wrexham shirt - the legendary Karl Connolly. Scorer of screamers, slayer of the Jester, and someone who so many all-time Town memories are tied to. Proper Racecourse royalty🍻

I've just noticed Mouse of Horrors is now on Tubi... and have put it on as background noise. I now very much feel I'm part of the problem🤦‍♂️

You know it's been a long morning when you accidentally put Vimto in your coffee.

Right, I think the holidays and New Year period have caused us all to lose sight of what's really important as we take our first steps through 2025. As in, when the heck are we going to finally see Buddy Cooper's Mutilator 2?!?! No🎵Fall Break🎵 no party👌

First day in work of 2025 and I've already had enough caffeine that I swear my cat just whispered "meow" in a human voice from the next room. Think of an Owen Wilson-style "wow". Yeah, not creepy in the slightest...

What an entertaining Dundee Derby that was! Absolutely buzzing to see Sam Dalby pop up with an 88th winner. A 10th goal of the season for Dalbs. Da iawn👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Well, that was a day (and night!). Thanks to King Karl and all who came to Maesgwyn pre-match. Belting from the Declan Swans post-match👏🏻 Definitely didn't end up in the Karaoke Bar until the wee hours. And definitely haven't lost my voice today🤦

A big thanks to Wrexham and Wales legend Barry Horne and all who came to Maesgwyn pre-match yesterday. Cracking from Barry, as per👏🏻 Not quite as cracking as Paul Mullin's screamer across the road, though✊️

That moment you realise you've not wrapped any Christmas presents and have way, way less wrapping paper than you thought...

It was always said to dress sharp on Christmas Eve, your Sunday Best as it were. Pretty sure it doesn't get any better than the Hitman and a bit of brown corduroy. Happy holidays👌

Fair play, my Spotify is playing a blinder today. Started with some Rocky belters, then served up some Transformers: The Movie and The Lost Boys soundtrack goodness, and even threw in a smidge of Bret Hart for good measure. Da iawn👏🏻

After months of having a ridiculously noisy neighbour, I'm kinda feeling fully fine with blasting the Rocky 'greatest hits' album out at a 2am. Hearts on Fire, indeed✊ Da iawn, John Cafferty. Rocky IV being my favourite Rocky film has nothing to do with it, obviously.

Festive, innit🤷‍♂️ Is it even the holidays if a giant slab of ham isn't popped in the oven at some point? Nothing better than just casually grazing throughout the festive period.

As expected, this is looking absolutely phenomenal so far from the brilliant @pencilcraftsman.bsky.social So many Wrexham greats brought together in one stunning mural. Da iawn👏🏻

Starting my last working day of the year off with a belting revisit of The Best... Album in the World... Ever! from back in the day. So many great memories tied to this double-disc rascal, from school days to those early Tiv days. Some absolutely belting tunes✊ Lovely stuff👌

A huge thanks to Carlos Edwards and all who came to Maesgwyn for pre-match at the weekend to raise money for Young Lives vs. Cancer. Absolutely top quality from Carlos. Also great to have so many other Wrexham legends in - Andy Morrell, Bobby Shinton, Mickey Thomas, Mark McGregor, and Barry Horne✊️

The calm before the pre-match storm at Maesgwyn. Very much looking forward to having Carlos Edwards join us for a natter, plus the legendary Bobby Shinton and Mickey Thomas popping by - all as we raise money for Young Lives vs. Cancer.

What a belting festive period pre-match line-up at Maesgwyn! Saturday: Suave 2003 promotion winner, Carlos Edwards Boxing Day: Mr. Porto and former Wales skipper, Barry Horne 29th: My all-time favourite Wrexham player, King Karl - with a carvery! Also 29th: A big ol' Purple Jumper piss-up Da iawn👏

After being coerced for a legit two drinks out, this stroll home is certainly blowing the cobwebs off😯 Also, I might be a little overdue a haircut...

Also, it obviously takes an incredibly special talent to score direct from a corner kick, planned ahead of time. For those who happened to be at a Joey Jones Tournament at Glyndwr/NEWI/Wrexham Uni circa 2005/2006, obviously they witnessed some magic - hence where the culturedleftpeg comes from...😉

Given the conditions, I'll take a scrappy 1-0 all day. A great battling effort from all the lads, but particular praise for Matty James, Brunty, and EOC. A proper shift from Ollie P, too. And Ollie R. Yeah, solid effort all over the pitch in that grim weather. Lovely stuff✊

To borrow a phrase from the great Steve Parkin... iFollow? Weak as piss!

I've not had food at the Racecourse for a few years now, but fair play, the pie game appears to have been massively upped if last night was anything to go by. Chicken, gammon, leek, and a little Wrexham badge. Da iawn👏🏻

My head is absolutely convinced that I've got a Meatball Marinara on Italian Herb and Cheese on the way from Subway - all because I saw an advert for Subway this morning. I guess that means I best order a Meatball Marinara on Italian Herb and Cheese from Subway🤷‍♂️ An advertiser's dream...

I'm somehow part of an FSA Award-winning podcast🤷 A massive thanks to @liamjrandall.bsky.social @andypgilpin.bsky.social @rhyswilliamsnews.bsky.social & @fidpod.bsky.social and to everyone who's ever tuned in. Pretty sure it was my 'Macho Man' Randy Savage impression that got us over the line☝️

Me, moaning about all of the Christmas 'stuff' already. Also me, very much enjoying a festive tiramisu latte.

On this day in 2004. Juan Ugarte finished off this scintillating one touch move against the 🤡s in their own backyard #EFLtrophy The Beautiful Game
