This was an accident. I’m watching the Blues Brothers because it’s from my time and soothes me. But I forgot a subplot through the film is the fight against (Illinois) Nazis. Everybody needs to (re)watch this movie for tips on Nazi fighting. And the Aretha and Ray musical numbers!!

I’m coping by watching movies from my era…right now I’m watching The Blues Brothers and we are at the Aretha Franklin musical number and I’m pretty sure we are going to be OK. Because we are on a mission from God. And Aretha is on our side!!!

It’s graduate school admissions season for students who would start in Fall 2025. But with uncertain funding, unfortunately we can expect acceptances to fall because programs want to assure students they will have funding, and they can’t. These cuts are already destroying the future of US science.
