Interesting how papers in other countries aren't afraid to call this what it is. elpais.com/mexico/2025-...

Another fevered story in the Daily Mail this morning attacking OnlyFans. The British tabloid press has been amping up antiporn stories, in what I suspect is a coordinated campaign to gin up public (and thus legislative) anger. We've seen this before.

The Trump regime's segregationist agenda is clear. I argue that having a Black man as president of white America enraged a portion of this country so much, that they decided to destroy any pipeline to Black advancement in academia, government, & workplaces. karenattiah.substack.com/p/trumps-seg...

Coming around to the view that a certain kind of narcissist simply needs Musk to be a genius rather than a fraud, because they want to believe there’s a hereditary Brahmin class of accomplished, beautiful minds—and that they’re a part of that class.

Was just reminded of one of my most obsessive fans, Steven Jarvis, who has literally dozens of Substack posts like this where he rants about how I hacked Twitter "via console code" (?).

A profile of Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the Navy's top officer, who spent roughly half of her 40-year career at sea, commanding a destroyer, two carrier strike groups and the U.S. Sixth Fleet, & whom current Defense Secretary and former Fox & Friends co-host Pete Hegseth fired tonight.

Hegseth fires the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a 4-star general, and the Chief of Naval Operations - Black man and White woman. For Joint Chiefs, a retired, 3-star general will be nominated. Anti-DEI believes merit is racially determined; the actual qualifications don't matter. time.com/7260646/trum...

Forcing them to live in fear of their constituents is something you can weaponize, actually

The attacks on DEI are a pretext for a much more radical agenda of reversing the gains of the civil rights movement, an objective the Trump administration is pursuing with zeal. A Great Resegregation. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

The US, Russia, and the richest man in the world who is busy carrying out a coup in our government, are coordinating a brutal shakedown of an ally whose very existence depends on our support. This is repulsive and people need to understand we’re only in the beginning of what is possible.

People like this should be shot, sorry!

Truly the most 'there is actually zero difference and bad things you imbecile, you fucking moron' tweet to ever get a million views

It turns out that people like what government does for them, even when they fume with rage when government helps people who are not them. The "genius" of Trump-Musk was to attack everyone at once, so the entire public simultaneously saw the administration hurting them personally.

Does holding a security clearance gives the govt the right to piss test you at any time? If it does, next dem admin should unironically spring surprise inspections on every VC with a clearance. Tons of them will pop hot, yank their clearances, make them liabilities to their firms.

The NYPD and our criminal mayor accidentally Brady violating this guy out of a conviction because they can’t stop publicity hounding would absolutely be the most fitting end to the entire saga.

Kristi Noem last night said the $200 million DHS ad campaign to scare immigrants and praise Trump was his idea — and that he specifically demanded the ads “thank me for closing the border.” I’m not sure why, but this is news you can only get at @rollingstone.com www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

A lot of baffling arguments in this thread, but I think what it all comes down to is trying to litigate geopolitics via the lens of American intra-coalitional identity politics signalling. Same frame that leads to deciding that Ukraine is doing imperialism against Russia by not surrendering.

I don't think it's Canada's responsibility to fix the US actually

It's so cool how every pro-war Russian faction is being reproduced in American politics. Here we see the pro-war Rossiyanin. This is in contrast to the amero-Navalnist who may hate Trump but is really pissed about the national anthem being booed

As a historian and a feminist, I am begging people to please read something updated about witch hunts and stop with these memes. Bad history used to prop a good cause is still bad history.

A lesson in how claims of meritocracy as justification for opposing DEI are often cover for the demand that we return to a system of preference for white men - whatever their qualifications. Fire a qualified Black man. Hire a statutorily unqualified white man. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

I do think part of the problem the ostensibly reasonable "centre right" has is that they still believe things that are manifestly untrue. This just didn't happen!

A lot of republican events are straight up dangerous for formal acts of protest, but going NIMBY-mode on townhalls seems like a perfect way to distort the calculus of GOP electeds

Simple question for Nigel Farage: "Would you support retaliation against the Trump administration if its policies endangered the jobs and security of UK citizens?"

Are TERFs really alright? Seems their obsessed panic over trans women is leading them down the rabbit hole to handmaiden hood in a resurgent,ethno-Christian patriarchy. Chauvinism is more acceptable than trans inclusion-who’d a thunk it?(Actually it was obvious this was a path they could/would take)
