The trade wars won’t immediately change the minds of many Trump supporters. Why? 1. These mostly insignificant concessions he is getting will still be spun as wins. 2. Trump surrogates have been pushing the “initial pains” message for a while now. It won’t hold forever, but it will stick for now.
