I'm at my nephew's HS graduation, and the seats in this stadium are so freaking tiny that I have to stand the entire time :(

This is an orbit map for STS 45 signed by the pilot!

I managed to pull a muscle in my back while sleeping, which is the ONE activity that I feel like an expert in. Getting old sucks.

Today I couldn't remember the words "vacuum cleaner" for some reason, so I called it the "carpet lawnmower."

NASA Announces Bold Plan To Still Exist By 2045

That's reasonable.

Sept. 23, 2024: "But threatening to not vote or signaling to others that it’s fine to not vote doesn’t make you a progressive; it makes you a childish clown who clearly doesn’t understand the stakes." charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/all-that-m...

Something is fundamentally wrong with America when millions of dollars can’t buy you a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, the respect of your children, the silence of your baby mammas, or a functional penis implant.

Today, I have accomplished something momentous: I had a fact featured on the No Such Thing as a Fish podcast. It was about how astronaut Steve Hawley had to wear a disguise so that the space shuttle wouldn't recognize him (His crewmates thought he was bad luck). @andrewhunterm.bsky.social

I love that.

W00t! I finally finished my Public Policy course for Youtube! It's all about how policies are designed and implemented, with a focus on CJ policy. You can check it out (and check out all my other courses, too) here: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

I have wasted my life. Today, I realize that I would have much more professional/personal satisfaction if I had invented a device to slap people in the face via TCP/IP, so I could slap any journalist (or even social media poster) who characterized Butch and Suni as "stuck" or "stranded" in space.

We lit the candles on my wife's birthday cake, but our family realized that "Happy Birthday" is really stupid and boring to sing on a person's 43rd birthday, so we sang the chorus of Taylor Swift's "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" instead.

Once a cartel becomes large enough, it should be a vantel. Then with even more people, a bustel.

My personal trainer is a real beast.

For those trying to catch up the legal issues surrounding this troubling case, @stevevladeck.bsky.social’s newsletter has an invaluable breakdown here. Stay especially for the last, most consequential question Steve raises. www.stevevladeck.com/p/131-five-q...

I can't wait.

Are you (or anyone you know) interested in a 100% online Masters degree in criminal justice? How about a dual MSCJ/MPA program? How about a Masters in Forensic Psychology?Check it out! LMUnet.edu/mscj

Begging people to turn their computers off more often than just when the battery accidentally runs out because they forgot their power cord. You have updates! You have updates from LAST AUGUST waiting to run. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!

That makes sense.

Trump has the emotional maturity of toddler, the intellectual capacity of a teenager, and the moral compass of a gangster.

For all who love space exploration like I do, we need to admit: @elonmusk has revealed himself to be an unstable, malign extremist. He is not on the side of freedom or democracy, he is "all-in" for authoritarianism. 100% not compatible with the peaceful exploration of space.

resonates.

A grand jury in Alabama is calling for a small police department to be abolished after recently indicting its chief and four other officers as part of a sweeping corruption investigation, saying that the department had operated “as more of a criminal enterprise than a law enforcement agency.”

I love that.

I've had a really tough day, so now I'm going to do a line.

'Evolving into?!!' Really?!

Lots of talk on “law and order,” and “tough on crime” legislation, from both sides of ‘the aisle’. Why? As @prisonpolicy.bsky.social reports: 💣 Crime rates are *historically* low 💣 3/4 of all jail bookings are for *nonviolent* charges 💣 3/4 of people in jail have *not* been convicted of a crime
