A short video that took me back to 2020's internet drama over a certain Ben not computing W.A.P. www.youtube.com/shorts/8WEQq...

Yesterday locals were lit up about a next-level thunderstorm coming in the afternoon. Curious, I asked tarot if there would be a storm before the end of the day. I got 6 of Swords. huh. The card literally means moving on to calm waters from a storm. It only rained.

As reported earlier.

Queerness threatens the social order because it shows other ways of life are possible. Queerness shows we have options. All of us. When people learn/feel they have options, some will not choose conformity. Queerness shows us that being “normal” IS NOT compulsory.

I finally played the updated Myst: a post. Bonus haiku for suggestible perverts. escapatoria.org/words/2025/0...

Rime: Welp, I'm confused. What do those numbers have to do with the other numbers but also colors and shapes?! Is this an IQ test? I failed.

Welp, got a notice that my testimony went through. Using CTRL+F alone, it seems only ~15% of folks submitting one opposed this for what's approved so far, so it's good my characteristically terse words will be drowned out in favor of pretty factoids.

I requested a squid with a diamond and a telescope and did not expect this extreme level of cuteness. 👏

Playing Myst: I made it to spaceship land & got to the mine maze. I got to step 12 or 13 before getting completely turned around, which made me sick. Pulled out my 1995 Myst guide to see if I was on the right track (hey, a pun), and I was a mere step away from solving it. Curses, motion sickness!

I have watched more & more friends turn to Substack in the past few months. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! #Substack has well-documented problems with platforming literal Nazis, as well as writers spreading Covid misinformation, anti-vaccine propaganda, & transphobia. Long post here: bit.ly/substacksux

I have many thoughts about this, but the TLDR is go listen to Garbage's "Sex Is Not The Enemy". That band is still around, still making music, still touring (right now, even!), and still the bee's knees. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCBx...

Writing misanthropic shit while nodding along to OM: I am a complex being.

Okay, this is my newest very very favorite meme.

Before I forget to note it again: We're mere days away from Neptune entering Aries for the first time in our lives. The last time it was here was the 1860s. Before that, 1698 or so. The initial ingress is through October this year before its ~14 year stay beginning in late January next year.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back. This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008. Also bigger than the 2024 DNC. And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

A reminder: This album is out in a week.

Gladiator 2: It existed. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes: long, like its title. Seemed foundational like the first episode of a TV series. Good ASL and pretty. Timed well with present-day politics. Both reminders that it's almost time to get back to weird horror.

a constant mood 🥲

Make this viral.

Texas Republicans have introduced a bill that allows someone to SUE FOR DAMAGES if a government official uses "preferred gender pronouns," says the word "healthcare" in relation to an abortion or "refers to prostitutes as sex workers" Really struggling to understand how this works.

New York legislator Brian Maher (R) has introduced a bill banning the term "sex worker." www.nysenate.gov/legislation/...

Porn bans don’t stop at porn. Once a government or platform decides ‘this is too explicit,’ it’s only a matter of time before LGBTQ+ content, sex education, and even reproductive health resources get caught in the dragnet. We’ve seen it before, and we’ll see it again—unless we fight back.

Guess this means I have to restart and finish Myst?

Lawmakers in Oregon are asking for public testimony over "Food For All" aimed to include under-26, over-55 in age individuals who would qualify for SNAP if not for their immigration status. Be brave, do it. They meet to hear testimony next week. secure.oregonfoodbank.org/a/submit-pub...
