People joke that it was technically possible for Lincon mid civil war, to have sent a fax to Japan requesting aid from the samurai. But what I would like to know is the historical ramifications that fax could have had. Would have the samurai still have been disbanded? What about WW 1&2?

For anyone that needs it, a quick and dirty way get a story going is to: 1. To take a person, place, or thing 2. Do basically anything 3. Add in a "But" 4. follow through with an "And then" Spider man, goes to therapy, but reveals that reality keeps changing, and then therapist goes insane #writing

I really don't understand the game's industry obsession with OpenWorld maps. It feels like a huge money dump to make all this space and barely have time or the money to actually fill those spaces with content. Just for players to skip over most of it with Fast travel. #nintendo #ubisoft #videogames

So something that always strikes me as odd in media discourse, is when a controversy brakes out around a piece fulfilling exactly what it is marketed as. Like fromsoftwares darksouls, with the tag line prepare to die. Actually being a difficult experience.

I think the biggest downfall of large media companies is that they try competing with everything, and invest millions into a mega project that attempts to appeal to everyone they can. Instead of full-filling near empty spaces in the market. Then wonder why Balatro out competes. #videogames #movies

I think we need more Heel style characters, both in the sense of obviously evil foil that is meant to be booed and the like. But also, characters that wear an "Evil" Persona, be it are actually just good people. That just likes the bad guy esthetic, who really just wanted to be a part of the plot.

You know what? Sometimes it just feels better to have your work complemented by some rando on the internet, then it does from some of your family and co-workers. I don't know if it's the imposter syndrome kicking in, but at least I know that person actually likes the given work.

I don't think I have ever seen a company perpetually tease a project as much as capcom seemingly is with a new Megaman game. As they have basically been cross promoting the franchise in every medium under the sun. Including a never-before-seen character via a model kit, announced over a year ago.

You know what media needs more of? Permanent consequences or shake ups to what are otherwise 1 off wacky scenarios or tropes. Like let that sight gag, environment change, bodyswap, Doppelganger, fusion, team up, mini-game, extra limb. Just sick around, and be part of the show's / game's world.
