Friendly reminder that Joann Fabrics isn’t closing because it’s a bad business. It’s closing bc it was bought by a private equity firm. This is also what is happening to Hooters and what happened to US Toys R Us and Red Lobster. These companies are being dismantled intentionally.

One thing I’m worried about is that, like, You can make a series that’s technically not what it’s about, make it about the relationships between characters, and have it turn out good (like the widescreen era of Venture Bros.) or have it turn out bad (different show I can’t name out of respect)

fun fact: if you draw fanart for a game within the first week of any sort of major PR event for it (announcement, demo, release etc) there is a 99% chance the entire dev team on the game knows who you are because they are doing nothing but reposting fanart in slack

A thing i keep learning from comics history is how many people (usually artists who are also writers and inkers) die pretty young "unfortunaly died at a relatively young age from ____." (Usually something to do with their heart or an untreated medical condition.)

It's a bit ahead of October, but fuck it Every year since I came out, I get a Halloween portrait done by my friend, and EXCELLENT artist, Kane ( @veldrin.bsky.social ). This year I said "Chimera Zoe" and he not only delivered a BEAUTIFUL piece he also dunked on me BRUTALLY as only a friend could.
