Removing the insulation from the rim joists in my basement raised the household gas usage by about 0.03 CCF per hour. That's about $0.64 per day and 4 kg of CO2 per day. (And I'm in the middle of replacing it).

Our Roomba is jealous of our cat and constantly steals her toys. Today, after taking a cat toy away from the Roomba, it threw up on the floor. A few minutes later, it drove back and ate it again. This robot is so dramatic.

I have indoor temperature data back to 2022, and outdoor temperature and gas going back further, so I made a new plot of energy-use per degree of indoor-outdoor temperature difference. There's a slight decrease in energy use 2022 to 2023, and 2023 to 2024, but recently it jumped up!
