Hard to process the devastation I’ve witnessed in the last two days. Still in a state of shock for those who have lost so much in such a short period of time. #NoWords 💔

My (balanced) summary of the Family Justice Council's report published today. threadreaderapp.com/thread/18668...

My direct appeal to @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social & Keir_Starmer in the light of yesterday's vote on AD. If they sincerely care about dying people, surely now they will publicly & urgently commit to properly funding our threadbare, neglected palliative care? www.theguardian.com/society/2024...

Thought I'd just share the Dads music selection from the forum - for those going through tough times or missing a loved one: Home - Edith Whiskers www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6eH... Daddy - Coldplay www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWhi... Wake up Boo - Boo Radleys www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJXP...

Now that I've fled Leon's site for bluer skies, I'm sure I'll be called an #Ex-X, but personally, I'll always consider myself a #TwitterQuitter.

According to the poet Shelley that makes you a ‘theist’: a prolific drinker of tea.

Word of this morning is ‘procaffeinate’: to put everything on hold until you’ve had sufficient amounts of coffee.

Thanks for noticing.

Looking for the perfect holiday gift for your baby? How about a “face book?” I’ve written often about how much infants love the faces of their loved ones. Indeed, we’re biologically driven from birth to distinguish - and study - the faces that matter most. (Thread 🧵)

The Mail Online is up to speed.

Love this. ‘Queue’ is from the French word with the same spelling (but pronounced as ‘kuh’) meaning an animal’s long tail. In the 18th and 19th centuries it also referred to a pigtail and was sometimes spelled as ‘cue’, which gave us the name of the long thin rod used in snooker.

There's a lot of empty space on the left and right - could we have a "trending" column please @support.bsky.team

My word of the day (and personal recommendation) is ‘snerdling’ (18th century): nestling cosily beneath the covers and holding off the day a little longer. Morning.

My favourite version of Mr Blue Sky - my son introduced me to Groot :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzIz...
