And that's my crackpot theory. Coral outside of the Anomalies are fully sentient, just operating on different hardware with different software All because cram too many of them together in a small space and they make a black hole Thank you for coming to my ted talk

So... The Institute was right in there being a potential threat posed by the coral. But not just that it would start expanding into space; But that it could warp reality through sheer density of perception. As long as the theory holds up, for whatever FromSoft has in mind.

Their physical mass is negligible, far lesser than even a star by the nature of their makeup But they could reach the Limit of Questions without... Question Hence, a singularity. A black hole in its own right, but playing by different rules. Rules that could be influenced through perception

In theory, we get a black hole. So if physical mass has a limit before collapsing, what about mental mass? When you can have billions of *cells*, each with their own thoughts and perception, occupying the same small space? All while continuing to replicate exponentially?

Or more accurately thoughts have 'mass' of their own- More thoughts, more mass. Inconsequential even in the billions of lives on Earth now, much like how our actual mass isn't altering Gravity- A pebble in the face of an entity like the sun. But what happens when mass reaches a critical point?

One that holds weight since perception is a key influence in Quantum Physics; The easiest indicator of this is how quantum number generators are influenced by the thoughts of nearby people. Itself a whole topic, but That's for another time An analogy I like to use is that thoughts have 'weight'

The point I'm looking at is the Singularity. Which, sparing some key details, is very similar to a theory seen elsewhere- The Limit of Questions. The theory that too many sentient lifeforms in a given space will collapse reality.

But they run on a completely different system as Humans, which is why there's no active communication. Humans run on Windows, while the Coral run on Linux. What makes Anomalies so special is that they're compatible with both- Or maybe, they're just coral voices that run windows, but can read Linux

My take? Each individual cell of the coral have a measure of sentience. Whether it's a matter of mass- they get smarter as they flock together- or each individual being about as smart as a human, there's no question that they have a 'sense' about them. Beyond flocking, they influence the Ibis

I was looking forward to that chocolate okay-

Oh right There are realistically six slots open Unless I figure out how to host the server myself (which I might, because tell me VOIP wouldn't be worth it)

Hi yes RTs are very much appreciated And if you have any interest feel free to DM me. There aren't any serious details to go over but touching base helps immensely

Which isn't to say I have any intention of graduating Or retiring Or quitting streaming I just need to light a fire under my ass, get my personal life figured out some Try making friends in the community beyond a certain wonderful bug Actually Be present, rather than the equivalent of a cave goblin

I've just been tired, haven't had any drive to do much of anything productive Just been working, playing an odd number of army management games, and sleeping. And apparently dreaming about inverted triangles to a degree I think I'm going crazy? But It really feels like I'm not cut out for this

Literally the exact same sentiment as last year But I dunno, I think I can get a certain bug to hold me to it this time.
