You know who is a REALLY underrated looney tunes director? Norman McCabe, his cartoons have a very unique sense of humor and for looney tunes, they feel so ahead of their time they have that distinct Jones vibe to them it's hard to pinpoint wish he stuck around longer ngl

365 Days of Tunes - 125/365: Eighty years ago on this date, Friz Freleng’s HARE TRIGGER (’45) had its general release in theaters. This introduced moviegoers to Yosemite Sam, arguably Bugs Bunny's greatest foe.

Happy Birthday to Yosemite Sam! Great Horny Toads! He's 80 years old today. He debuted in 1945 in the short "Hare Trigger" He was voiced by Mel Blanc, who came in from a road rage incident and the iconic voice was born.

In honor of #StarWarsDay, “Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century” was initially planned by George Lucas to be screened in front of Star Wars during its original theatrical run. It did not happen. Now you can if you happen to own this cartoon and the original 1977 version on physical media.

Happy anniversary to “Tweetie Pie”. This 1947 short was the first to pair up Tweety and Sylvester (who was named Thomas). It also got Termite Terrace their first Academy Award for Best Animated Short. Afterwards, audiences wanted more shorts starring the two. #LooneyTunes

“Little Red Rodent Hood” was released on this day in 1952. Another brilliant comedic take on the classic fairy tale by Friz Freleng using the tried and true cat and mouse formula. Very clever from Friz and Warren Foster to have it set all entirely inside a house. #LooneyTunes

I'm late, but wow. 14 years already?

'The Looney Tunes Show' premiered 14 years ago today on Cartoon Network. This is such an underrated show for the Looney Tunes. #looneytunes

Goodnight!

“The Wise Quacking Duck” was released on this day in 1943. One of Bob Clampett’s best uses of Daffy Duck in the 1940s. Watch how his antics play out when viewing this cartoon. #LooneyTunes #thedaytheearthblewup

“Nothing but the Tooth”, directed by Arthur Davis, released on this day in 1948. This Porky Pig cartoon was only released on VHS and LaserDisc as this forgotten short is flagged due to Native American stereotypes. #LooneyTunes #PorkyPig90

I've had this song stuck in my head, it's so good. It's called the Untitled Boogie Woogie.

This Is It performed by Mel Blanc for the Bugs Bunny Show (1960) Written and Composed by Mack David & Jerry Livingston.
