Ah yes, what a perfectly normal thing to see at a brewery taproom

An important message concerning my Real Ale preferences.

Good morning from me and my cat gang: Bob, Sid and Lulu too. Early coffee on the patio after a warm night. 🙂🐈‍⬛😺🐈‍⬛ #Caturday

20,000 steps and 100 floors today* *yes, everything aches and I might sleep for a week

The heroes of the RNLI coming back to Seahouses harbour late last night! ⭐️

Jebus, homebrew club was fabulous tonight. Some astonishing beers. Joining my local homebrew group played a huge part in my turning professional, inspired with pro brewers who still represent the very best in what they do. I will never stop paying this forward.

‘Like Black Diamonds’ is part of Going Back Brockens which opens tonight at 5pm at The Warehouse, Newgate Centre, Bishop Auckland @nomorenowt.bsky.social @buildingculture.bsky.social

A rollercoaster of a day for @tassinam.bsky.social and I, but ending it on a high after ticking a load of stuff off the to-do list! Now, time to head down to The Cumberland Arms for a swift half in the sunshine before the gig…

Not too late to see the Strawberry Moon if you missed it last night. Take a look up tonight and fingers crossed for a clear sky you should get a good view 🙂 🔭 www.skyatnightmagazine.com/news/strawbe...

We need apple pickers for this year's harvest!💪 Harvest is still a few months away, but we're always in need of hard-working individuals to help us pick apples on our farm in Tenterden, Kent. We pay competitively. Get in touch for more info: [email protected]

🏃‍Well done to the team for completing the Blaydon Race yesterday, some sore legs in the brewery this morning! #BlaydonRace25 #BlaydonRace #OhMeLads

Stockport (and surrounding areas!) Our 37th beer and cider festival is almost upon us. Secure your ticket in advance and stroll in with your glass and beer tokens ready to sup some very fine beverages. Very fine indeed.

First visit to Propa! in Sunderland. That mushroom & stilton pie has made sure it’ll not be my last.

Join Our Funky Family We're a very small, close knit team here at Balance and we'd love to find someone to help us grow into the future and that we can help grow too.

@nigelsadler.bsky.social Thought you’d appreciate the two new visitors at my dad’s. He now has four cats who’ve come to stay, like your gang 😊

Light straw maltage overwashed with a mild citro-tropicalism. Very balanced, very easy-drinking, very reliable. ‘Tiny Dancer’, the long-standing core IPA from #FlashHouseBrewingCo in North Shields. #DrinkLocal #BskyBeer

🍻 June Meetups Incoming! We’re meeting midweek in both London and Manchester - Wednesday 11th June - so wherever you are, there’s good beer & good company waiting. Details below 👇

Our Summer House has just been delivered – big thanks to Toff from Dunster House for dropping it off. This is a big step forward for our outdoor space, and we can’t wait to get it built and in use… but we need a bit of help! Can you lend a hand? We’re looking for volunteers to help us build it 🛠️

Who fancies hosting the session in June?

I’ve been wondering what was up with Anchor. sfstandard.com/2025/05/31/a...

NE6 has a craft brewery taproom again. Welcome back, Almasty!

Welcoming the latest edition to the Kasteel Brouwerij Vanhonsebrouck family. Kasteel Tropical is a true taste of paradise, infusing a Belgian Strong Ale with Mango, Passionfruit, Pineapple, and Peach.

For @vinepair.com, I asked historians about tariffs, int’l politics & alcohol. Key takeaways: (1) there are lots of historic examples, and (2) they can create changes that last a long time, often w/ unexpected results. HT @brewedculture.org, @dorotadias.bsky.social, and @justinwolfers.bsky.social.

Apricot armpit gloriousness on the nose. Funked-up herbalised marmalade in the taste. Drier than dry in the finish. Don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this stuff, truly world class and yet so affordable. (This one’s approaching 12 months old, for those that like to know these things.) #BskyBeer

Nice day for a wander to blow the cobwebs away 🍻

The pubs of Gateshead's 'Railway Quarter'. Only a bridge away from Newcastle. Well worth a visit for real alesters and crafties alike. #BskyBeer

Superb @thornbridge.bsky.social x @burningskybeer.bsky.social West Coast IPA on the Union Sets being enjoyed in @BundobustMCR today. What a great beer.

Special stuff ahoy! A belter from #DeStruise. Sugared plums on the nose. Taste reveals the bourbon barrel, but it’s well integrated, not overpowering. Dark fruity Quadrupelism with a light coating of caramelised vanilla and a woody dryness in the finish. Very tasty! #BskyBeer

A beautiful setting for a beer festival: Blackfriars is set in a restored Grade I listed 13th-century former Dominican friary The festival runs until Sunday if you want to check it out. Come for the views, stay for the beer.

We’re absolutely thrilled that Oregon Trail has progressed so far in this year’s CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain competition. To win the national IPA category is such an honour and we’re incredibly excited to be competing for overall Supreme Champion Beer of Britain. See you at GBBF?

Sometimes, you read something that leaves a lump in the throat and a tear in the eye. That's what Laura's new book did to me earlier. When people you know, tell me at the event how much they love it, I dismiss it as lubricated recency bias Laura, Daisy, Mark W & Mark J. 😘 for the lovely words

Who’s beer festivalling this weekend? We’re looking forward to Blackfriars Beer Festival - if you’re there on Friday night, we’ll see you at the bar!
