It's somewhat frustrating that I'm the type of person to need a nearby deadline to actually get stuff done. Not because I don't want to, but just because I can't will the energy to do it. Executive disfunction is a pain in the rear.

Had a bit of a scare earlier today. Thought there was blood coming from the ceiling in the bathroom and got worried for the neighbors. Talked to the manager who got in contact with them. They're alright. I have no idea what that liquid is, though.

Started playing Shadow of War on PC. Used to play it on PS4. Funnily enough, I'm having an easier time. I'm still getting used to the controls, though. I swear it has to be the framerate or something making it easier. Archers/javelin throwers are still annoying, though.

Adding onto my last post, my mom was never great with travelling. We'd often use a GPS, but even back then, she had me put in the address and lead the way since she had a hard time. As much as traveling was a pain in the butt, having that knowledge and experience means I rarely get lost.

Back when I was a kid, my mom would take me half the province away for background acting gigs. Lots of waiting, but my DS was a lifesaver. Ended up playing a bunch of games with other kids there. I rarely think about those times, but the nostalgia just hit me. Tbh, I miss being a kid. Even school.

As someone who's tried to get into the Xcom games a few times, they're in the category of games that I either just plain suck at, or don't have the patience for. For example, sharpshooter placed on overwatch didn't do anything because a MEC dropped down from a floor up and shot her in the face. 😡
