I often struggle with not feeling good enough as a disabled person. I struggle with comparison to non-disabled people and other disabled people. We leave disabled people with only two choices - to be superheroes or pitiable cripples. We leave almost no room for them to have human emotions.

the thing about disability is that it will happen to all of us and it won't only be paralysis or accidents. It could be old age, it could be immuno-compromised, it could be so many things that cause disability, and I wish the media would show that reality. and.... we need to talk about that more.
