I wish we were all willing to put 1/10th on the line of what Rachel Corrie did. She should be here now. May we all have your courage and integrity, Rachel. Rest well.

Electoral politics will not save us.

Good morning. 3 simple ways to resist today: 1. Divest from celebrity culture. Unfollow, block, talking about & stop caring what they do. 2. Same goes for billionaires, double for billionaire celebrities. 3. Take that time & energy you save & support some mutual aid. See you tomorrow.

“What’s wrong with creating a community of safety where softness will not prove fatal?” Chantha Nguon in “Slow Noodles”

The world is atrocious & overwhelming right now. Here are 3 simple ways to care for yourself and keep resisting. 1. Take 3 deep breaths and one drink of water. 2. Pick 1 thing to care about and amplify it & share some mutual aid around it today. 3. Repeat step one and wear a mask in public.

The way I wish every single doctor in the world could learn, remember & use this (true) line from The Pitt, “Her size doesn’t inherently make her unhealthy.” There are no diseases or illnesses fat patients deal with that thin patients do not.

I just want to tell you that Israhell is releasing Palestinians at this late hour in an attempt to prevent people from celebrating and welcoming their beloved ones, thinking that the cold and the timing will keep them away. But our love and resilience are stronger than their tactics!🕊 #FreePalestine

Recognizing public lands are important is a small step. Knowing that all lands belong in the care of Indigenous people is the next step. Having all lands back, restoration, and reparations, is liberation.

US law enforcement has always decided who is breaking the law, and whether or not they will be pursued.

Mahmoud Khalil is not even a citizen of this country, and he put his entire life on the line. To even say ANYTHING about this man as if he deserved it, while liberals have done nothing but bitch and moan about people protesting a genocide, is privileged as hell. I’m embarrassed for them

Michigan spring reminder that if mobility aids would help, you deserve them.

Recognizing that public lands need to be protected is a small step. Knowing they were never our lands in the first place and they belong in the care of Indigenous people, is the next step. Working for land back everywhere, restoration, and reparations is liberation.

Still at $0 for my new fundraiser for Rita. Please share and contribute if you can. chuffed.org/project/1236...

3 simple ways you can supercharge your resistance today: 1. Be a fat liberationist. It just means you think fat people deserve the same care as everyone else. 2. Start caring about Palestinians. The same reason they are being genocided is the reason you have fascism. 3. Wear a mask in public.

Israel is cutting off electricity to Gaza. (AP News) Free Palestine!

Yachts are even better than Teslas. No one can claim a yacht is a necessity.

having been in many rooms where protests are initially orchestrated, i can say sights like this are a highly desired outcome. protests are inherently theatrical & part of that is triggering state actors to unwittingly adopt the role they were born to play.

Even if you’re single, if you have prescriptions (for you or your pets) you may want to look into Costco for the pharmacy alone. I have four pets, one with complicated health needs, and switching to Costco for their RXs will save me over $1,000 per year.

A great way to celebrate International Women’s Day is to give mutual aid to a woman. Happy to send suggestions if you need them.

How many celebrity disappointments like, Gwen Stefani (again, why are you surprised?!?) do you think it will take for folks to start really decentering celebrities?

Happy International Women’s Day ESPECIALLY to… …the trans women. …the sex workers. …the women of the global majority. …the women of the global south. …the disabled women. Love you! Glad you’re here. Wish people would start acting like you deserve care and respect cause you do.

What others call cringyness I call earnest enthusiasm. I think the world needs more earnest enthusiasm right now.

I will use International Woman’s Day and all the other days & months (wheelchair day, pride month, etc…) to bring awareness & attention to that group…. AND…. They have given us a day (week or month) to distract us from the fact that those groups will be oppressed, exploited & uncared for anyway.

Being autistic feels a lot like I’m not speaking the same language sometimes. “Oh you mean…” Yes! Isn’t that what I JUST SAID?!?

The US was built on, and continues to run on, slave labor and deep exploitation. Prisons operate as plantations, including RENTING OUT HUMANS FOR LABOR. Under Dem leadership on city, state, and national levels homelessness has been pretty much criminalized. Until the system falls, this is reality

Abolish the police.

Dr Hussam Abu safiya who was abducted by Israeli occupation forces in December from Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip, is in critical condition from the torture he has endured in the prison camp. Please keep asking for his release 💗

There are approximately 3,000 billionaires on the planet. There are more people than that in the tiny rural village I live in. There are more of us than there are of them. Billionaires. Politicians. Police.

The pink shirts are another variation of the blue bracelets white women were trying to wear when the election happened. This sort of ‘activism’ feels comforting because the risk is low. It helps create a feeling of action where there is none. To contrast, Al Green was removed. He took ACTION. (1/2)

Every single day

Palestinian women come forward with allegations of sexual violence by Israeli forces, @kylietcheung.bsky.social writes. While Western media pushes unsubstantiated claims of a campaign of sexual violence led by Hamas, Palestinian survivors are punished for reporting Israeli soldiers for abuse.

If you’re upset about how student protestors are treated now but not in the past 18 months, please ask yourself why.

When your kid calls to ask if we are boycotting a place 🥰

I don’t care who you’re fighting against. I care who you’re willing to care for, stand up for & protect.

Even things that are good & feel good take energy. Many chronically ill people may struggle to find that energy. I think it’s important for us to keep this in mind when we discuss community. 🧵 1/2

Abolish the prison industrial complex.

I’m going to start asking every person upset about prepared foods when was the last time they brought a disabled person prepared food so they could use less plastic.

Did y’all know we have another Luigi”?! Just now hearing about this…

I’m not watching the Oscars but I hope Gal Gadot has to present the best documentary win to No Other Land.

For those trying to consume differently, I’ve found the app, Mercari to be really fun. It’s second hand stuff that allows for really specific searches.

Let’s definitely discuss what happened to Emily Pike and make sure it gets the attention she deserves, but please give trigger and content warnings. We’ve caused enough trauma to Indigenous communities without graphic images showing up in feeds unannounced.

It’s becoming more clear in the wake of the economic blackout we need to follow and support collective efforts led by folks of the global majority. I know of the Free Palestine, Sudan, Congo, etc… movements led by Indigenous folks there. And BDS. Are there other movements in the US ?

Collective action is more powerful than individual action. If you’re going to keep boycotting, great, I guess. But it would be even more awesome if you built up modes of collective care to ensure others (like disabled people, economically oppressed, etc…) could join you in that action.
