my 18 y/o daughter's painting. Her first in oil.

Jokic is the real MVP but he's reached "well, gee, we CAN'T give it to (LeBron, Shaq...)" territory.

There is something about the ubiquitous recent year integration of gambling in pro sports and the sleazy robber baron ethos of the Trump administration that feels highly related. very on-brand for our sleazy, greedy country

There's always a new reason why a given snowfall isn't exactly the right type of snow to utilize my snow-thrower's unique skillset. I have the D'Angelo Russell of snow throwers. D-Sno.

Thanks to @annstp.bsky.social of Mostly MN Music for "5 Questions" feature. It got me to really think! mostlyminnesota.com/2025/02/28/5...

ok, @www.jrrjokien.com, I probably could have executed this better but:

New music video!!! “With Love, Always" is an ode to the tradition of leaving the nest, a heartfelt message from a father to a daughter setting off into the world. Watch, enjoy, share! #mnmusicscene #minneapolismusic #NewMusic2025 #fatherdaughter

a reasonable percentage of kid movies begin with the classic Grinch rip-off: bad guy viewing spectacle of beauty and kindness through a dirty, crooked telescope, then seething with rage. also: villains in these movies are misguided buffoons, but they are inexplicably mind-blowing inventors.

This Friday we're releasing a music video for the second single off our Wave Forms EP. The song is "With Love, Always," a heartfelt ode to leaving the nest. I'll post a link Friday morning!

RIP Louis. Only played Lee's a couple of times, but it was an unforgettable vibe and experience each time. www.startribune.com/lees-liquor-...

I may have just written "A Guide to the 16 Stages You May Experience in a listen to Pablo Cruise's 'Ocean Breeze.'" If I did, I'm happy to share by request, but you must first promise to actually use it.

Fun review by the kind folks at Apollo's Harp #WaveFormsEP www.apollosharp.in/blog/souther...

another review, this one from Lost in the Manor:

one of the great band pictures of all-time, circa 1994: my band, on the scaffolding of a cigarette billboard above I-94, smoking. The irreverence!

kind words from Lost in the Manor magazine about our song "With Love, Always" "This song is an understated beauty of emotional depth....a song as beautiful as it is memorable-a musical letter to speak directly to the heart." Here it is on Spotify: open.spotify.com/track/7vPOTq...

If you missed the show this past Sat you can still show you love & support by buying the EP critics are raving about (they really are, we can prove it), as well as some sweet merch. Options available for pick-up in person or for shipping to your home! raftingrecords.com/srkw-music-m...

one of the sillier developments in modern work has been the fact that you are basically allowed to substitute an off-beat font for a signature in electronic documents. Judge: "Well, he chose Segoe Script. That pretty much proves it's him."

thinking of passing a randomized set of these out to fellow Wolves-watchers at Falling Knife this Tuesday

first review in on our upcoming Wave Forms EP! (Jan 25 release date)

In Frosty, the teacher called Professor Hinkle in to start his magic show when there was one minute and five seconds left before the end of class. He never stood a chance!

it was 10 years ago and released under the band name "Dan Hylton and the Ghostrunners," but here is my sole contribution to the pantheon of Christmas classics: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMV4...

the youth of today will never know the thrill of seeing a group of stars from their favorite network shows deliver a heartfelt Christmas wish during commercial break

James Bond power rankings through 1979: 1. From Russian With Love (Connery) 2. The Spy Who Loved Me (Moore) 3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Lazenby) He's at his best gallivanting about Europe, and bedding a sexy Russian spy with dubious loyalties.

The score to Sword of the Valiant is terrible. It's like they bought the score from another bad movie. But the people they bought it from could only give them in cassette form.

I'm pretty sure Sean Connery had a "show my hairy chest" rider on every contract from 1967 to 1985.

I had this idea Peter Cushing was like some Omar Sharif type luminary, and in the past two weeks I've seen him in Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires and Sword of the Valiant.

Watching Sword of the Valiant (1984) tonight and oh my how far Trevor (A Brief Encounter) Howard had fallen.

a still from our upcoming music video. Exactly six weeks till single (and actually, full EP) release!

Six weeks till our EP release!!! www.facebook.com/events/43255...

The Grinch is SO MUCH BETTER than The Seatbelt.

Wolves' defense only a little better than their offense is bad. Every game a rock fight.

Christopher Lee and OJ Simpson in the surprisingly not terrible Killer Force.

Killer Force (1976). Somehow a diamond heist action thriller starring Telly Savalas, Christopher Lee, and OJ Simpson seems like it shouldn't have 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'll let you all know if the score is warranted.

Well, it ain't exactly the Grateful Dead, but at least we're out there doin' it.
