This administration illegally denied hundreds of people due process, then deported them to a country they’ve never known, run by an authoritarian infamous for cruel treatment of prisoners. They then deceived a federal judge to buy time for the planes to land so he couldn’t do anything about it.

Take a moment today to read about a few of the young children whom Trump and Musk killed by shutting down USAID. The blame for these deaths falls on them. There will be hundreds of thousands more dead kids before their lethal crusade against foreign aid ends. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Israel continues to violate the ceasefire with bipartisan U.S. support. The latest deaths included Mahmoud Sleem, the 205th journalist killed by U.S.-backed Israeli forces.

""You wake up one day and discover you’re dead,” Johnson told me. “It’s been truly surreal.”...Johnson is 82 and still kicking. Yet sometime last month, someone or something led Social Security to both tag him as dead and start clawing back his benefits." www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...

Marco Rubio claims US strikes are to stop Houthi attacks on global shipping. FYI: there have been no Houthi attacks on commercial vessels since last November and none targeting US Navy in the Red Sea since December. Attacks had stopped because of Gaza ceasefire. US is now making sure they restart.

YDP is still cross referencing the information available on US-claimed strikes tonight in Yemen. Reports of strikes in the Capital and in Sa'ada governorate. The Health Ministry in Sana'a has reported nine civilians killed and a further nine civilians injured.

The "peace president" strikes again

Despite the Houthis ending their attacks on Red Sea shipping back in January with the Gaza ceasefire announcement, the United States has launched major airstrikes against Yemen. So far, the Democratic leadership in Congress has expressed no objections to Trump's decision to go to war.

Emergency wartime authority being exercised at a rare moment when the US is not active in major combat zones, no crisis at home, borders are secure, obvious large threats are minimal. There is zero justification to empower a president to detain or deport the natives & citizens of an "enemy" nation.

Still need more confirmed reports, but this is different from before All last year they were going after pretty clearly defined military targets This time they hit civilian neighborhoods, likely going after Houthi leadership

The U.S. is bombing Sana’a, Yemen again, 9 civilians killed and another 9 wounded, per Shuaib Almosawa, reporting for Drop Site on the ground

Judge blocks admin from using the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to summarily deport people

News: Journalists at Voice of America were just informed that they’ve been put on administrative leave. Two people there told me this went to all fulltime employees. “From what we can tell, VOA is effectively shut down from this moment.”

The headline really sanitizes what they did to this guy. Getting stripped naked, inadequate food, sleep deprivation sounds more like war on terror ear rendition than "interrogation."

“Instead of riding the groundswell of outrage over Khalil’s persecution and siding with him unequivocally, Democrats are drawing more attention to their own complicity and to their own conditional support for democratic institutions.” nymag.com/intelligence...

Now Trump is detaining and deporting people who have H-1B visas, like this Lebanese doctor in Rhode Island. “This is outrageous. This is a person who is legally entitled to be in the U.S., who is stopped from re-entering the country for reasons no one knows.” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/14/m...

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer

Minister Joly to Rubio: "There's no argument, there's no conversation about it, there's no need to talk about it," she said. "You're here, you respect us, you respect our sovereignty, you're in our country, you respect our people. Period." www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

It isn't arms control if there are no arms. Iran didn't and doesn't have nuclear weapons and it isn't trying to build them. WSJ is such a disgrace.

Why on earth would Bhutan be included in the red group?

This is from the South African ambassador that Rubio just declared persona non grata: apnews.com/article/rubi...

i'm still seeing analysts firewall what Trump is doing at home from what he's doing in the Middle East. Reasoning is that sure he may be a mad ruler domestically but he'll still be motivated to make rational decisions abroad based on national interest. That's not how it's working.

Rubio is managing to make Pompeo look almost competent by comparison. www.jpost.com/breaking-new...

Prime Minister Mark Carney is asked to respond to Marco Rubio suggesting today that Canada join the United States: "It's crazy. His point is crazy. That's it."

It appears the Trump Admin is shutting down the Dept of Education's International and Foreign Language Education unit, which funds and administers University and graduate foreign language study throughout the country and overseas. If true, an act of national sabotage. www.ed.gov/about/ed-off...

Following Israel's decision to cut power to to the Strip's desalination plants, Gazans, who in any event have been suffering from a shortage of water, now find themselves – at the height of Ramadan – without almost no sources of drinking water www.haaretz.com/israel-news/...

They really are afraid of the art.

"The contacts with Sudan, Somalia and ... Somaliland reflect the determination by the U.S. and Israel to press ahead with a plan that has been widely condemned and raised serious legal and moral issues." The "issues" are that the plan is illegal and immoral.

Worst Univ of Michigan consumer sentiment since 2022: 🇺🇸 @mikezaccardi.bsky.social

Hilariously craven. Democrats invoked a law allowing Congress to override Trump’s “national emergency” declaration, which allows him to impose unilateral tariffs. Requires a vote within 15 days. To avoid a vote, the GOP declared that the entire rest of this year will just be one very long day.

"the number of Canadians taking road trips to the US – representing the majority of Canadians who normally visit – had dropped by 23% compared with February 2024" www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Every day, the Secretary of Commerce goes on TV raving about annexing other countries.

The answer to this is even more ridiculous than you would think. Ronald Lauder gave Trump the idea years ago: www.thedp.com/article/2025...

Greenland’s leaders issued a sharp rebuke of Donald Trump’s renewed calls to annex it Thursday, after the president once again expressed his desire to take over the Arctic island.

Good for the American public to press members of Congress on where they stand on Trump’s absurd and unlawful foreign policy proposals—such as the territorial conquest of U.S. allies.

China and Russia stood by Iran after the United States demanded nuclear talks with Tehran, with senior Chinese and Russian diplomats saying dialogue should only resume based on ‘mutual respect’ and all sanctions ought to be lifted reut.rs/3XRnI5b

"It’s difficult to know how many starving people will be affected by the Trump administration’s gutting of USAID, since the Famine Early Warning System, a US-funded program that monitors global food crises, has been taken offline." www.nybooks.com/online/2025/...

“we have to be able to commit war crimes to win wars” is the type of thing a 16-year-old dumbass says and — well, yeah, hegseth is basically a 16-year-old dumbass
