Oh, come on...Monolith? I know they hadn't put anything out for a while, but binning the team on the year of the 20th anniversary of possible one of the best FPS games ever made? Among a litany of yet more incredible games? The video games industry's bigwigs can collectively go eat one.

This vocab mining thing is taking a long ass time...

Half-Life 2 and Dishonored art lead Viktor Antonov dies aged just 52 www.eurogamer.net/half-life-2-...

Dunno why I didn't think to do a media thread...what with the books I've been reading and the games I've been playing. Reckon I should start one, a month and a half late...hmm...

OK, so in fairness, I get it. Bond films have guns in them but they're not necessarily about that. The games tend to be violent FPS games mainly because that's what sells, more than that being what the series is about.

I have discovered Apple Music have an Essentials playlist that is pretty much just Gundam-themed. Saved it for later, because boy howdy, I daren't listen to any more stuff tonight...

#NowSpinning: 'Discipline' (The Steve Wilson Mix) by King Crimson

Why am I being followed by AI and crypto accounts now? I don't get it?

What's more, let us not forget

I went out on Sunday to buy some games, but for roughly six weeks, I've been quiet on YouTube. A small explanation as to why: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuRs...

I have been playing Amnesia: The Bunker recently. I can't play this game for too long at one time because the tension wears me down too easily, situations like this - where the Beast just bashes down a door that's trapped with a flare - scratch this much-needed imsim itch. I love it.

God I can't wait to be done with WaniKani at this point...

So recently I've been reading the original Japanese version of Hideo Kojima's 'The Creative Gene' (創作する遺伝子 ―僕が愛したMEMEたち―), and...it is making me way too aware of how little I understand Japanese. So much vocabulary, so little time to process it all...

Buy it and play it. It gud.

thank you youtube very cool

I want to do a writeup on horror games. More specifically, I want to write about how difficulty, frustration, accessibility and trauma. Hopefully I can convince folks that it's not always a case of "removing the horror from a horror game", but changing it to make it playable by way more people.

Hmm...somewhat wondering if I ought to set up a second account soon for Japanese language stuff...especially now that I'm reading 文庫 and getting a fingertip or two on the grammatical aspects of the language...

Damn......that's rough news...

This is what insanity looks like.

Reading コンビニ人間 and mining unknown vocab from it is great, because I can end up learning a word like '溢れる' (to spill over), and then out of nowhere i can get a word like '勃起'. wew lad
