Still here

It’s official: Over 1,000 events are planned for No Kings Day on June 14. While Trump wastes nearly $100 million on his birthday parade in DC, we will be taking to the streets everywhere else to show the world what democracy really looks like. Find your local event: www.nokings.org?SQF_SOURCE=i...

If you liked Andor definitely check out Star Wars Reign of the Empire: Mask of Fear by Alexander Freed

On the brighter side of the news: We're still three weeks out from #NoKings and we're already closing in fast on 1,000 scheduled events nationwide (plus Canada, England, and Italy). Is there one near you yet?

A weird Star Wars discourse thing is that people decided Mon Mothma was lib coded when she’s the equivalent of a member of the House of Lords using her family fortune to bankroll the IRA

PALPATINE HOLOGRAM: 𝑨𝑹𝑬 𝑾𝑬 𝑶𝑵 𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑪𝑲 𝑻𝑶 𝑴𝑬𝑬𝑻 𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝑸𝑼𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑬𝑹𝑳𝒀 𝑲𝑷𝑰𝑺? IMPERIAL BUREAUCRAT: Y-yes my lord. PALPATINE: 𝒀𝑶𝑼’𝑹𝑬 𝑨 𝑹𝑶𝑪𝑲𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑹. 𝑳𝑬𝑻’𝑺 𝑻𝑶𝑼𝑪𝑯 𝑩𝑨𝑺𝑬 𝑳𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑹.

Trump's military parade isn't the only way to celebrate Flag Day

There will be a reckoning

[more spoilers] - Now imagining that Dedra (a) is in a labor prison building components for the second Death Star and (b) is freed after Endor when the New Republic liberates the prison—and goes into the amnesty program 🥴 (although the trial of Dedra Meero for the Ghorman genocide would go so hard)

[ANDOR spoilers] - A perfect ending for Dedra and all of the fascist characters—taken down not by rebellion but by the oppressive, murderous structures they built and upheld.

I’m blown away by the entirety of what ANDOR is. The perfect project, perfectly realized.

The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that.

✋ They’ve gone too far: This is bigger than political disagreement. They’ve defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services. Enough is enough. Sat, Jun 14, 11:00am-1:00pm PDT Torrance City Hall RSVP: zurl.co/yvxM1

me today

Pick up a skateboard or a guitar who cares

notably this briefing includes someone who posted some of the most vile CSAM to exist on twitter, that he had personally edited (included content that had not previously been seen)

Forest Whitaker’s performance as Saw is such a gift

WHERE THE FUCK IS MAS AMEDDA

Mon Mothma and Luthen after Cinta took care of Tay last week #Andor

Alright so where can I buy clothes like Mon Mothma’s?

Ok but if we don’t see Mas Amedda I WILL be making noisd

Am I correct in understanding that they just deported an American citizen for the first time and it was a fucking two-year-old?

jail these fucking people

Responding “you’re telling me that for the first time” about something he should obviously be aware of is his best bit (derogatory)

This reminds me of a very similar thing Karen Traviss said when she was first considering writing for SW, and the moment she realized how meaty the clones' situation really was and how much you could do with that. Say what you will about her work, but I love seeing creatives latch on like that.

"Arresting a judge" is about as obvious as it gets that they are going to do anything and everything to wrest power from the people and the constitution. It's not a troubling development - it's an act of war against the American system of government.

access. to. stable. un. limited. power. will transFORM💫 thegalacticeconomy and soLIDify🤏 Imperial authority. and it ~turns out~ “spiders” are not the most unique thing in GHORman.

So I need them to put out the Andor soundtrack weekly after each release

I heard Mehrunes Dagon is headlining world pride this year

Andor is one of the best dramas about politics, organizing, coalition-building, and resistance to authoritarianism I've seen. There are no cartoon villains or heroes. It's multilayered - dark and hopeful. If you want "courage is contagious" in TV form, this is it.

Good man

Trump’s brazen defiance of a Supreme Court order to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from a Salvadoran torture prison is truly a watershed moment for our teetering democracy. This crisis won’t be resolved through the courts. The only way forward is massive public pressure. 🧵

They’re actively working to close US consulates all over the world

Dani Negrete: We need our elected leaders to understand the seriousness of this moment and the size of this movement. To take April 5 from a flashpoint to an inflection point we need to continue our actions and energy consistently. In the immediate term, that's Congressional Recess. @indivisible.org

We are at a dangerous, dangerous moment in US history, where the President of the United States is threatening to send US citizens to be imprisoned by a foreign ally, and the foreign ally is saying it won't respect an US court orders to release people that it's holding.

"I was worried the turnout would be mediocre. But as the Metro approached Smithsonian station, the number of people boarding the train stunned me. Then, I was overwhelmed by the sight of tens of thousands of people proceeding toward the Washington Monument..." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

i know it’s a fraught word but these are degenerate people
