Spent some time last night putting together a standard design for feature images on my blog. Previously, they were just whatever I felt like chucking together at the time, with no standard design. Happy with the outcome. Simple to maintain and all a common size/ theme.

Simple Make and Linear automation to start the day. Another scenario takes new issues created in Linear and populates the data store and creates the issue post in Teams. I love the simplicity with Make automations. Anything that requires something more complex, I look to custom script out.

Running Deepseek R1 locally on Ollama has been fun. Everyone should give it a go. My 3080 struggles, though, because of the limited VRAM, so I'm currently running this on my M1 Max MBP which runs the distilled Deepseek 14b model efficiently. Maybe a 5080 is on the cards for better inference.

Since Trump has signed the exec order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, does this mean he can force the hands of Google, Apple etc who pretty much own the landscape of global maps to rename this? Thinking about it, it's disturbing that America controls maps.
