I would give her $1k to never hear her husband's shitty band again. (That would be Journey, and yes, I hate that I know that). #MusicSky

Okay #LetterboxdFriday 🎥 here's what I got this week:

Since the story on the @DeptofDefense's website on Jackie Robinson has been deleted, here are the details of his service in the United States military. In 1942, Robinson was drafted and reported to Fort Riley, Kansas. By early 1943, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant before joining the

If this shit makes you happy, kindly kiss my black ass and whatnot.

I can't believe Grandpa Fred from "Sixteen Candles" was also in the Bee Gees/Frampton "Sgt. Pepper's" movie. #filmsky #musicsky

Coming next: Sundance without films!

This evening's spin #MusicSky, the (I would argue) underappreciated Big Audio Dynamite debut.

Just putting this here so I can watch it a few dozen times tomorrow. #GoZags

This is not a drill: Mets Double-A affiliate Binghamton will play three games as the Spicy Meatballs.

All Hackman all the time for this #LetterboxdFriday 🎥

This is the person who disrespects the Oval Office Daily

You bet I'm joining in the economic blackout today. And this song will be stuck in my head throughout:

Recently watched what is easily one of Gene Hackman's worst movies (Under Suspicion) and he was still a joy to watch in it. RIP one of the best ever. 🎥

My efforts continue in the #musicsky 30-day challenge (non consecutive days!), this time a song from the year I was born:

Highlight of the weekend: seeing Michael Shannon, Jason Narducy and friends knock out a bunch of REM tunes in Seattle, with Peter Buck joining for 7 tunes! #musicsky

Alrighty #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched. 🎥

Movies you have watched more than six times, GIFs only. 🎥

Well damn. I've enjoyed having electricity at my house!

Okay back to #musicsky 30-day (non-consecutive) challenge! No. 17, a song I'd sing a duet of at karaoke (this will never happen):

Is it a law or something that TVs in mechanic waiting rooms must be tuned in to Fox News?

About halfway they the #Snl50 concert, and love seeing Devo and Lauryn Hill. Love being able to fast forward thru all Fallon appearances. And can confirm Jellyroll should never be allowed near a Johnny Cash tune again.

This is all well and good, but $25k is probably the catering budget for one show on these artists' tours.

Okay, after a pause, back to the Ol' #musicsky 30-day challenge. The category is "classic favorite" which I find a little confusing (who decides what's classic? Whose favorite?), but this:

#lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday 🎥

Flying out of the closest airport to North Idaho and seeing folks refuse the face recognition at check-in has me profiling my whole flight as Jan. 6 insurrectionists.

Time to worry

Back at the non-consecutive #musicsky 30-day challenge, a song I like that's a cover:

I'm going to have to switch my mocking of Socks with Sandals guys to Sportcoats with Shorts guys.

Somebody took Dr. Johnny Fever's breaks from "WKRP in Cincinnati," inserted the songs he introduces and back-announces, and got a full three-hour aircheck out of it. It's the best thing you'll hear all day. www.awphooey.com/wkrp

Big co-sign here. I saw the Cars on the Heartbeat City tour in Omaha (1984), I was barely 13, Ric Ocasek didn't say a single word between songs, and I LOVED that show. Nonstop killers, song after song. What a band.

Current listening:

Okay #musicsky 30-day challenge No. 14: a tune I'd like to be played at my wedding.

Lol Letterboxd #lastfourwatched. Tough week save for that Lynch doc!

Hmm, #musicsky 30-day music challenge thang: a song I dig from the 70s:

Wow, this is the second-worse use of "steely" imaginable, behind only that garbage band.
