We have a rare alignment in our bin collections this week, grey bin tomorrow, green bin on Friday, then blue bin on Saturday. I don’t know how I will contain my excitement.

I suppose one advantage of internet banking is, as we don’t write cheques anymore, we don’t keep writing the wrong year in January. Happy New Year everyone.

Just think, all those people who attend the Jools Holland “Hootenanny” on NYE, I wonder how they get home afterwards at that time of night ?😉

I’m in Limassol, Cyprus for NYE and they are letting off *silent* fireworks this year because it’s better for animals, kids, the environment (not to mention those traumatised by war). Why doesn’t everyone do this? PS happy new year 🥳 cyprus-mail.com/2024/12/30/l... cyprus-mail.com/2024/12/30/l...

The Netherlands was a neutral country during World War I, I sometimes think their NYE fascination with munitions and explosives is a means of subconscious compensation. It’s like the battle of the Somme out there at the moment.
