Episode 190 is of Eventually Supertrain is here! Bronk. Garrison's Gorillas. And a brand-new old show. Give a listen. eventuallysupertrain.blogspot.com/2025/06/190....

It’s a Friday the 13th miracle! The All-Night Video Guide: Slashers 70’s & 80’s is now available for Kindle! a.co/d/bEA1Rq3

Padilla: If this is how DHS responds to a senator with a question you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California.

It's me. Interviewing Chester N. Turner and his brother Keefe at the Silent Movie Theater a long time ago. We are talking TALES FROM THE QUADEAD ZONE. We will be discussing BLACK DEVIL DOLL FROM HELL. Good times.

I'm back on the Tumbleweeds and TV Cowboys Podcast talking about the next three episodes of Gunsmoke with Hunter. Please. give a listen. open.spotify.com/show/4RVAVjM...

Just watched this for the first time. Got to the end and thought "That was kind of obvious." Then, something else happens and I thought "That's a nice twist." Then, I thought about the twist and I thought about the twist... rewatched the beginning... And I no longer know if I get the twist.

THE FRIDAY THE 13TH (1980) CONTROVERSY "Today, celebrated through a warm haze of nostalgia. For many, it is almost a 'comfort horror'. However, it is worth remembering that it was one of the most controversial films of the year it was released." www.hysteria-lives.co.uk/hysterialive...

I've been a Funpack subscriber for a long time. This is a great pack. If there are some available, treat yourself. The @terrorvisionvids.bsky.social FT13th soundtrack cassette is amazing. It includes the song "Sail Away, Tiny Sparrow," which gives away the fact that the film was made in the 70s.

Summer of Fear 2: More Fear, More Summer. My Summer of Fear was when I was 11. I was convinced someone was going to pants me at Day Camp in front of everyone. It doesn't sound terrifying, but it was. #TVMParty

Julia does a starling amount of witchy things during this car chase, along with driving too fast on this dangerous road. (I almost think there's another witch or familiar or something involved.) #TVMParty

It's a good sloppy 1970s car chase. Love it! And I love Julia's scared face with her big demon eyes when she almost hits the truck. #TVMParty

I missed it while it was happening, but the photo flash thing was also used at the end of Don't Be Afraid of the Dark! I guess it's a 70s TV movie kind of thing! #TVMParty

Any witch movie that ends with an awesome car chase is All Right with me! #TVMParty

The gal fight scene is as crazy as the out-of-control horse scene. Whoever did the action stuff here, did a hell of a job. #TVMParty

Whenever I see Julia burning the prints, I always think the same thing: "Thank God witches don't understand what negatives are." #TVMParty

I wish I could have been there during the "Mike and the Empty Chair" photo session. #TVMParty

What is that kid eating for breakfast? Is that an enormous piece of cake? And why does it look so delicious? (This family is falling apart. Mom must have been out of corn.) #TVMParty

I know I said this once already... but the movie reads very different when you know who/ what Julia is. #TVMParty

I'm not fond of the scene when Mom slaps her daughter and takes Julia's side. I kind of wished Rachel had retaliated and kneed her Mom in the downstairs region. #TVMParty

What's with these nurses? (Are they possessed? Did I miss that?) "This is the last time we take someone to Puritan General." Their motto: No human contact is the best human contact! (or) Jesus Loves You but I'll throw your ass out in the street." #TVMParty

Max Keller is also the name of Timothy Van Patten's character in the TV show "The Master." If Summer of Fear ended with a Ninja Vs. Witch fight, it would be the Best Movie Ever.

I forgot to mention that aside from running against Devil Dog: Hound From Hell, PBS re-aired the Louis Jourdan Dracula special (which I think was produced by the BBC, but I can't remember now). That's a spectacular adaptation, btw. What a great night for TV #TVMParty

Professor Jarvis has had a stroke. Thank goodness that vet wasn't the first one on the scene. #TVMParty

When you know who Julia actually is, her scenes (to me) feel very different than when you think you know who she is because you think she's Julia. If that made sense. #TVMParty

Filming of Summer of Fear began on June 5th, although casting notices were appearing into July. It was shot in an actual gated community in the Hidden Hills, and you definitely get that feeling of isolation #TVMParty

Amen!

This pertains to nothing (like my Dallas reference, which was in its first full season at this time) but... In the month before this aired, the hour-long Happy Days premiere episode has the Cunninghams go to a dude ranch. All sorts of horse and rodeo stuff and Joanie falling for a cowboy. #TVMParty

And... Dad almost kisses Julia on the lips... #TVMParty

W.C. Field's brother the vet is pretty quick with that euthanasia shot. (I understand why but it still appears quickly.) #TVMParty

Good Lord! The horse rolling over the stunt person looks like it probably hurt a lot. #TVMParty
