My office and a group of AGs sent guidance to schools, colleges, and universities reminding them that DEIA programs and policies are legal and give our students greater educational opportunities.    The Trump administration cannot ban DEIA policies with orders and threats.

I was telling some friends a few weeks ago…I get so overwhelmed at the idea that everything is terrible and getting worse by the day and NO ONE IS COMING TO SAVE US. I thought about what we need, what’s big enough. Strong enough. Scary enough to make it stop. This is all my brain could come up with.

Watching the hearing on Medicaid cuts and sobbing. There is a father, choking on emotion, talking about his 16 year old disabled child,their journey,difficulties, and what Medicaid means for his child and family. This here is what keeps me awake at night about my Matthew. It’s a hopeless panic 24/7.

This hurts. They used to be a pillar of inclusivity. Targét, as we call it in my family, has been a staple. It’s our go-to for everything. I find myself more willing to let go of things I love with the passing of each new day in the name of love for the good citizens of this country.
