The physical and mental gymnastics the NYT is performing to explain away this salute is beyond me. Instead of just acknowledging that Musk, who has trumpeted fascist beliefs repeatedly, they are trying to present that it could be ANYTHING but a nod to Hitler. Its INSANE.

When you shut down all civil rights investigations, it was never DEI you were after. You just hate minorities, period. This should not be surprising given how many times Trump has been in court over mistreating minorities. He lost every time, btw.
