True.

Our first Lab (Gus) when he was just 8 weeks old

Found this picture of a hammer with a head shaped like a fish. Only use I could envision would be for beating the carp out of someone.

Hell hath no fury like a Canadian scorned

Elect a clown, get a circus.

This is now the most embarrassing thing JD has done on a couch

Thank you Team Canada for coming through tonight and giving our nation a much needed lift. It was a “tairiffic” performance #never51

Never thought I'd reach a point in my life where I'd be rooting for an asteroid in 7 1/2 years time but here we are.

Every time we’re eating and my dog walks into the room, I instinctively yell “Housekeeping!” My dog has yet to laugh even once.

Today is International Day of Women & Girls in Science. I've been privileged to work alongside many incredible women throughout my career and am grateful to all those who chose work in the field of science, and celebrate their contributions and achievements.

Looks like a somewhat messy day setting up for Thursday for most of NS. Halifax area likely looking at 5-10cm snow, changing thru ice pellets and freezing rain to showers /drizzle in the evening. A messy commute home for sure. Turning colder again Friday #Halisky #nsstorm

Accumulating snow all done for HRM. Just cleared around 10cm of fluff from my driveway. Easy shoveling and not too cold or windy at the moment. #Halisky #nsstorm

Noon radar: quite a gradient with the heaviest snow (bright area) right along the coast. I’m at about 8cm of snow so far. Should start pulling off the coast around 3pm.

“Why do I need NOAA? I’ve got a weather app.” Is equivalent to asking “Why do I need farms? I can go to the supermarket.” www.noaa.gov/about-our-ag...

Our Sunday system continues to trend southward, meaning further reduced snowfall amounts. HRM looking at ~5cm, more along the south shore, less further north and east. Still could change so monitor forecasts if you have plans #nsstorm

Hope to see some of you at the Halifax International Boat Show this weekend. I’ll be around Friday and Saturday afternoons - stop by and say hello!

Some good news re: Sunday - all guidance is trending with a track slightly further south, which would reduce amounts somewhat. HRM looking at ~10cm, more along the south shore, less further north and east. Still could change so monitor forecasts if you have plans #nsstorm

Heads up, Nova Scotia - looking like a major snowfall event shaping up for Sunday, our first pure Nor'easter of the winter so far. Only uncertainty is how close the track will be to the coast, which will ultimately determine how much we get. #nsstorm

Forgot to add it's very light freezing drizzle here in Dartmouth, temperature -0.7 #Halisky #nsstorm

Look out, #Halisky, lots of black ice out there tonight. Just took recycling down to the curb and driveway and street are a glare ice. Looks wet, but slippery as a wet eel. #nsstorm

@gtconway.bsky.social this sums it up nicely

When you come for the moose, you get the antlers. When you come for the beaver, you get slapped in the nuts by the tail. Screw you, Tr*mp.

This round of snow is done for HRM - it's +2 to +3 so get out and clear it now before the temperature plummets tonight and more snow cones overnight. #nsstorm

We’re in the juicy snow in HRM now, currently 3/8nm in moderate to heavy snow at my place in Dartmouth. About 7-8cm down so far. Good news is back edge of accumulating snow is about an hour or two away. However another round of accumulating snow expected later tonight #nsstorm

I was today years old when I found out there's an NHL team called "Utah hockey club"

This afternoon's TAFs will be delayed because Arby's forgot our curly fries again. :(

Since I’ve muted words that rhyme with “rump” and “husk”, I can somewhat enjoy my feeds again. The next 4 years will be one hell of a long decade.

Wow. I did nazi that coming. Though I’m not in the least bit surprised.

I'd rather watch the video of my colonoscopy on repeat all day than any of the literal shit-show on display today.

21 storms, 13 hurricanes, 11 herbs and spices.

"What happened?" "I’m stuck. It's so embarrassing." “I guess things went... a-rye?” “Please do shut up.” "You should get out of the sun." "Why?" "Otherwise, you'll be toast." "You're an asshole, Charlie." “You’re right, you deserve butter.”

One minute you're young and cool, the next you're suddenly into air fryers.

Some days this is how it goes

This times 💯

The Contiguous U.S. set a record for the warmest year in 2024. It was 3.5F above the 20th Century average according the Berkeley Earth.

At least they could have sentenced him to wear an orange jumpsuit to his inauguration. Or to be Biden's butler for a day.

Chef’s tip: the smoke alarm does not make a good cooking timer. Thanks for attending my TED Talk.

As depressing as it is seeing Christmas trees at Costco in July, it’s refreshing to see bicycles and golf clubs here in January
