Look, trad published books are great. I just finished reading one called Witchlings. It was very cute and wholesome. But if you dive into indies, that's where you're going to find the super weird/niche stuff of your deepest curiosities. And that's a wonderfully unique magic to discover.

Just saw Sonic 3. I enjoyed it, but the part when Shadow The Hedgehog jumped out the screen, gently stroked my face with the back of his hand, and then jumped back into the movie was a little strange. 10/10

Working remotely as a writer for Cards Against Humanity, soul deadened. I write "Fuckin a duck in a pickup truck." into the microsoft excel spreadsheet labeled "Funny card ideas" emotionlessly. Synapses related to "Joy" have ceased firing inside my brain. I write "Poop", chuckle, and delete it.

I think year-end “worst” lists are pretty unnecessary. Instead of beating down books you didn’t like that people spent years writing, just ignore those titles and spend more time hyping up the books you actually did like. The lists just feel mean. #books #indiebooks #indieauthor #booksky
