"Nemo" and "Dory" are my son's forever-movies; those movies that little kids latch on to and will watch over and over again, forever. Fortunately for me they're both brilliant movies. Watching them again as a dad years later hits so differently, especially "Nemo"with Marlin's journey.

There's a phenomenal moment in "Finding Nemo" that speaks to the caliber of storytelling: when Nigel rushes to Nemo to recount Marlin's journey to find him, there's a slow zoom onto Nemo's smiling face as the music swells. Nigel's dialogue isn't cut, but it's very quiet under the music.

P. Sherman from “Finding Nemo” is probably the most “this guy sucks” Disney villain. “I found this little guy struggling out in the reef and I saved him.” What a shithead. And then he turns around and gives fish to his niece for her birthdays but clearly doesn’t teach her how to take care of them.

A while back I KS’d the Massive-Verse card game. Been a big fan of the comics for a long time (Radiant Black, Rogue Son, Desd Lucky, etc.) as they mix toku and big-2 heroes really well. Finally played this week with my nephew and my wife.
