#DOOMTheDarkAges is one of the most polished, well assembled and overall fun games this year, but for me, its the "Dark Knight Rises" of the reboot trilogy. Despite not preferring the "Stand and Fight" approach, I respect the bold choice to do something different than before.

Much like its own anti-heroes, Thunderbolts is the little Marvel movie that could, during a time where "good enough" gets you by. There's a true sense of progression of the MCU here and the 'Bolts themselves are likeable enough to carry the overdrawn banter and general plot. 7/10

There's combat commands not clicking and the mission structure through its 10 hour campaign can get repetitive. But its New Orlean art design is top notch, the soundtrack has some serious toe-tappers and the Southern myths Hazel interacts with in the plot compelled me most of all

Yes, its "Wes Anderson meets Bioshock". But perhaps Harold Halibut would've suited better as a movie or series, as the barely-present gameplay, technical glitches and repetive backtracking barely give the unique world and quirky characters a reason to be in a game at all.

Perhaps its time to drop the curtain on overly long RPGS, at least for me personally. Which hurts to say after falling in love with the world, characters and art direction of Metaphor. But I can only hear "this is the final fight" for 4 hours straight during a stretched out 4th act for so long.

A simple post won't cover how I'm feeling. Gonna let this marinate for a bit and then make a video. Plus, we have to see what Todd has to say.

I remember loving the first Ori, and this one manages to buid on the original's beautiful art design, powers/abilities and exploration, but the story's "look at this cute thing getting hurt" plot loop lost its magic on me. Idk, maybe I've gotten embittered as a gamer....

Welp...now I'm partially glad I phased out posting my shorts over "there" and focused entirely on just THE one platform. Maybe the world has a chance to heal...and learns to cook the original, non-hacking way.

Technically I started this "last year" so it counts, but with gorgeous visuals and "aha" worthy puzzles, Indiana Jones may well be one of 2024's overlooked action adventure gems, despite its technical hiccups with its first person view or some questionable modern characterization

Okay, this was the shot in which the muscles surround the corners of my mouth twitched into a faint semblance...of a hopeful smile. #superman

Just in time for the Game Awards, I managed to finish Astro Bot. Some enemy designs are a little basic and some world visual themes a tad generic, but the core gameplay that makes any platformer fun is at an absolute peak, all while paying homage to Playstation's 30 year legacy.

Never got into Warhammer 40K like that, but I looked to Space Marine 2 for that old school, 7th Gen action, and it delivered! Some repitition does set in during the 3rd act and Titus and Co. could use dimension, but it kept me hooked on the Warhammer lore even more than before.

Something happened......what should I do about it?? 😏

Answer to yesterday's big mystery haul post. Gonna be busy week.... #mcfarlanetoys #batman #mafex

Giant Mail Call today, any guesses??
