Tis a beautiful day. I'm going to enjoy it. They don't charge for that, yet.

Okay smart people. Hit me with wood scrap build ideas. I'm working through the pile. Here are a few that I've made so far. I'm also thinking about keychains and magnets. Maybe knife scale would be cool. Hit me with your smart stuff!

Wee bit of C. I may have to contact my lawyer about today's weather. I am an injured party. youtu.be/eAotMoUdPIs

Set back up and sassy as ever.

Cuz Georgia, you guys.

Today I'm sketching in B. It's sort of a faux Bach. Faux+Bach=?

I like to make a little daily sketch of music and cycle to a new key each day. Here's a wee bit of Bb for ya. youtu.be/nQYTJihDQGY

I had this internal mic in my first Balor acoustic bass. It tracked like a beast. Going to pop it in the green Balor.

My kid's science teacher is Mrs. Norris. My kid refuses to ask the science teacher if she is related to Chuck. No one prepared me for this type of disappointment as a parent.

Awwwww, Emerald Guitars shared my playing clip. I got the warm fuzzies. youtube.com/shorts/sVPX6...

Slipping into climate nihilism won't help you, but this will. It's a nonprofit that helps you visualize how your (USA) home will be impacted. The YouTube channel link goes state by state. Two things can be true and valid at once. Mourning and hope can coexist. www.americanresiliency.org

Getting into some high brow literature.

Found some more of the old Atlanta Bass Gallery clinic posters from years ago.

From my sketchbook. Bigfoot with poor quality customer service.

Geepers this is dang cool. It's a 1992 Burbank Tobias that was left unfinished because of a wood flaw in the neck. An employee went home with it as part of a severance package. This would be really cool hanging in a frame. What a work of art! Dig those router burns! www.ebay.com/itm/20523567...

It is early. I am full of beans. I am quite content with this decision.

Going through an old drive and found a bunch of flyers I designed for bass events. Those were fun! There are so many,

That thing you want to do. Go do it. Time is short. youtu.be/FXn0rDilzGg?...

No NAMM for me. I haven't been in about nine years, I think. Once I get back into bass building in earnest, I'll probably try to make it out there if I can take my family along. I do miss the my NAMM friends, though! Have fun!

This was the very first copy of Bass Player magazine I purchased as a bassist. I devoured every word of it.

My very first bass...or what's left of it. The only original parts are the body and front pickup. It started as a mid 80s Peavey Patriot.

Lovely Atlanta-area bassists, the weather has been changing, so I've had a handful of requests for setup and repair. Sorry, I no longer do this kind of work. I don't have recommendations, unfortunately. I do all my own work. I'm sure there is someone capable close to you. Thanks!

It's crazy what a cultural impact film makers can have. It's one of the few things that truly trickles down. Here's a track from early 2000s that I was lucky to play bass on. It's rife David Lynch and John Carpenter references. youtu.be/wwX5_AqA3bo?...

Reorganizing my music room.

A group of bassists came together to convince Emerald Guitars to make a production Balor 6 bass. They're getting close, but there's a slight delay. Sorry in advance for a FB link. www.facebook.com/share/p/19gf...

Some of the knobs I made for one of the basses I made. :)

Victor Wooten just started a weekly series called Words of Wisdom. "The world needs more good people." Dorothy Wooten youtu.be/CKDWgj7x7Lw?...

Yes, indeedy do. This is what the Emerald Balor acoustic bass guitar sounds like when it's unplugged. This is even on a cruddy phone camera and mic. In person, there are way more lows and low mids. #realdeal #acousticbassguitar #bass #bassguitar

Trying to laydown some sweet bass, but dog says no.

Working on new pieces. Tuning EBDA for last few days. The drop tuners are DAC#G#. I'm having fun and trying not to sound too much like a dime store version of a Windham Hill record.

This book has quietly convinced me that Michael Manring is quite possibly some form of undescribed species unknown to science. There is no way a mere human could be so savage on a bass guitar.
