I hope that little child comes through mended and well, and I hope the 19 year old gets the mental help they clearly need. Who does that to anyone, let alone a child?

I have a chicken stew with freshly dropped dumplings in it bubbling away on the stove. I didn’t have frozen peas, so I used some diced frozen broccoli instead. It still looks really good.

Got woken up by ‘something’ making noise outside in the wind. Used the bathroom and checked to see if the sugar maple and birch were still standing and they were. So is the fence. Not sure what it is but I’ll find out what it is tomorrow. Please wind, let me go back to sleep.

Hubs made lovely sub buns and we’re going to have hoagies for dinner tonight, and some lunches this week! I’d say the house smells awesome but I just descaled the Keurig so all I can smell atm is vinegar, but suppers going to be lovely!
