Without doubt, one of my favourite away days with Argyle. And I believe, the only time in EFL history, the away won despite having 3 players sent off.

A pleasure penning this and shooting the wonderful San Mames as well - photographing empty grounds isn't normally my thing but it was fun to be tested this way. I got lucky with the timing of the sunshine halo and the groundsmen doing their thing as well. Bilbao is terrific and I'll revisit.

Always a pleasure to visit Mertyr and a pleasure to take some digital and analog shots for @terraceedition.bsky.social

England Level 7 Marlow 0 Plymouth Parkway 2 Admission £12 Attendance 252 (40 away) A deserved win for Parkway whose dominant first-half display was rewarded with two goals. The second-half was closer but it was Parkway who created the clearer chances. The Alfred Davis remains a gem of a ground.

For Patrick. Words & Images: Liam Walsh. It's been five years since Patrick Walsh passed away after attending a football match. His dad Liam has put together some words on his love for his son and their bond in football. 🎈 www.terraceedition.com/home-haute/f...

FA Cup Round 3 Brentford 0 Argyle 1 Admission £15 Attendance 16,790 (2,457 away, sold out) A first visit to the gTech, given Griffin Pk was a classic, it is a likeable ground. Even game chance wise, quality away support, fine winner and a memorable day. Tomas Frank showed a lot of class after 👏

Happy Christmas you beautiful people. Yarnbombing BS4 style.

14.12.24 England Level 11 Chard Town 3 Yatton & Cleeve 4 Admission £3 (less than 45p a goal!) Crowd est 35 A very enjoyable game which included 3 long-range goals. The pitch at Chard is so steep it prevents them progressing up the pyramid but in beautiful winter sunshine it was a joy to photograph.

New: Words: Marc Huston: Images: Quentin Aouidj. The procession of Sainte-Barbe in Lens celebrates the patron saint of explosives workers. The only thing as important as its coal mining heritage is RC Lens and goals are like black gold. 📸 #RCLens www.terraceedition.com/home-haute/r...

Not the greatest looking floodlight but I loved the angle I got of it and that's what made it my favourite floodlight photo that I took this year. FK Bezanija in Serbia.

Gloucestershire FA Challenge Trophy Last 16 Shirehampton 0 Hallen 2 Admission £6, attendance 120 A first visit to Penpole Lane with its new and for this level, decent and bright floodlights. A goal in each half won it for Hallen, the first a peach of a lob, the second a decent header.

Grounds that didn't make the book. Sportsklubben Hardhaus, Norway. As an ex-dockyardee, I'd have liked this one to have, but I don't like the aesthetic of 7 aside and I already had 4 others from Nordland for the book. I hope to go back and watch an 11 aside game though. Its a beautiful region.

Its been a pleasure doing the odd piece for Terrace Edition and it's great seeing the reach of its photographers and writers increasing so much, all levels of the game and a lot of countries covered as well.

www.bristolautismsupport.org/ceo/ Amazing job oppprtinty in Bristol … We are looking for a wonderful person to lead our wonderful charity!

Grounds that didn't make the book Rotation Dresden, Germany I do love 11am kick-offs, particularly when it lets me have that finest of breakfasts, a bratwurst and a beer. A "filler" game before the afternoon match I was shooting for the book and it was one of the better ones, I loved the pavilion.

New for @terraceedition.bsky.social Words: Myself. Images: Erik Wibaeus. Night comes fast in November. So do football games. Not every match is an occasion. The supporters of Djurgårdens IF made the match vs The New Saints in Shrewsbury an occasion. #dif www.terraceedition.com/home-haute/a...

Grounds that didn't make the book. Roche, England. A hard one to exclude. I took this in the final months of my parents lives, a Cornish gem in what was my dad's heartlands. But the PL post code was represented by a club further north and I couldn't justify two entries due to conscious bias alone.

Lots of ace nights coming up @ The Louis

Grounds that didn't make the book FC Gotor, Spain With the Convent of Our Lady of Consolation dominating part of the backdrop, this was on the reserve list but the Aragon region got two other entries included so never made it. I got a 7 goal thriller on my visit, as well as crisp winter sunshine.

I won't routinely post floodlight friday, but I loved the angle of this one i took at FK Bezanija in Serbia. Its rare you get a vantage point of a game from above the floodlights so there was no way I wasn't gonna miss the chance to try for this shot and I got lucky with timing.

Grounds that didn't make the book. Athletic Club (Bilbao) Instalaciones de Lezama Campo 2. SD Amorebieta were the home side when I went. The Arch is from the original San Mamés which the club moved to Lezama as a nod to their history. It remains a shame some national stadiums didn't do similar.

We have a small restock of our print magazine issue 2 with @futbologyapp.bsky.social Fine football photography and punchy writing from the terraces. Makes a great Xmas present for a football fan. £10. Get your copy using the link👇 terraceedition.bigcartel.com/product/terr...

Grounds that didn't make the book. Tampere United, Finland. The world's only ground close to Lenin and Moomin Museums. Pyynikin urheilukenttä was a temporary home for fan owned United. I loved the wooden stand dating from the 1920s + the beer+home fans were great. They now play at Tammelan Stadion.

Being out of action for a bit following eye surgery has given me a bit of time to update some of the collections on my website including my collection of football landscapes from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight - www.pitchsidephoto.co.uk/Collections/...

WH Lung Bristol Strange Brew 20.11.24 With the new album making it three back-to-back classics, the gig was never gonna disappoint. My fave band to emerge in the last ten years or if you'll indulge me, to emerge during the ten years I was worked on my debut book. Superb. @melodicrecords.bsky.social

Grounds that didn't make the book. U.D. Oliveirense, Portugal. In daylight there's a view of the Parque de La Salette from the side in shot, but its quite cluttered and you could barely see it at night. But I liked the stadium, its hemmed in by urban surrounds and the atmosphere was terrific.
