So very sorry that my country has once again let loose such a despicable cretin upon the world.

It is clear the feds could care less about making America healthy 🌊🌊 www.cnn.com/2025/04/11/h...

Why I refuse to normalize this president: Appeasement is not workable strategy with a fascist. www.mlive.com/politics/202...

THAT'S MY ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!!

That’s exactly what all of his “policies” are about. If you try to attribute anything else to them, you’re far off base.

Then you must’ve only worked with the dumbest people alive, ma’am

Buddy, that's not ALL I nailed!!! (I hung a picture this weekend.)

Honestly, I can’t even with this

Remember the Goolsbee Rule, which he calls the pathological irony of crisis: "if you lose your credibility, your statements begin to mean the opposite of what you say." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/wit...

The measles crisis in West Texas has claimed the life of another child, the second death in an outbreak that has burned through the region and infected dozens of residents in bordering states. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/06/h...

All the soft MAGA bloggers who are heralding a glorious return to industrial labor should absolutely show us how it’s done by working a month at a steel mill.

Let's dig into the idea that tariffs involve short term pain for long-term gain.

From Abby’s Bakery in Los Fresnos to the Australian MMA coach to the El Salvador gulag, we see the cruelty, stupidity & lawlessness of Trump’s war on immigrants. The immigration issue can’t be ducked. It’s the beating heart of Trumpism. Confronting Trumpism means defending immigrants & immigration.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Trump tariffs will add 60% to the cost of an iPhone. Not if you buy it in Windsor or Fort Erie! Make smuggling great again, my latest for @theatlantic.com

I've waited my whole life to discuss penguin tariffs on live teevee.

I’ve got it all - rocks to sand, cliffs to dunes 🌊🌊

I didn’t see a single person try to storm the Capitol It’s almost like these people believe in democracy or something

I don’t…what…huh? There is no plan.

Don’t be overwhelmed Just do #OneThing each day to Build community Stand up against evil Love your neighbor Serve the oppressed Show compassion Advance justice Defend democracy Spread joy Today=along with 10s of 1000s of people, coming out to say NO

🤯🤯🤯

And euphemisms. Don’t forget euphemisms.

In this Ohio diner, recession still means the thing that happens to your gums after years of Snus and Mountain Dew. But they do know this: Any economic hardship is worth it as long as whatever happens to Blacks and Hispanics is even worse.

I pitched my NYT editor that folks really need to understand that the deadweight loss of tariffs rises in the square of the tariff rate. Despite the wonkiness of it all, they said yes--as long as you can explain that intuitively. Lemme know how I did:

“During a visit to NATO headquarters in Brussels on Friday, Marco Rubio told reporters, ‘We’re not the government of the world now.’ Being the government of the world worked out okay for America, not to mention the world.” thedispatch.com/newsletter/b...

South Africa 🇿🇦 is among the countries hit hardest by the tariffs. The good news is one of their top exports is (very delicious) wine. busting tariffs while drinking yourself into an oblivious stupor = the perfect protest

“Trump is a drunk driver taking the economy off the cliff into a needless recession—as we warned” fortune.com/2025/04/04/t...

I’m hoping to get high again like 2020 🌊🌊 www.woodtv.com/weather/weat...

Good

I remember being 17 and about 130 lbs riding those subways at all hours of the day and night in the 1980's when NYC was about 50x scarier than now. Grow the fuck up.

Makes ya think

Keep a receipt of all the law firms, corporations, wealthy celebs and pundits who bent the knee to Trump in the past 2 months thinking his reign would be absolute and for many years. Those who chose cowardice and threw us all under the bus for profit and self preservation.

In the month+ since Jeff Bezos announced the WaPo editorial page would be advocating for “personal liberties and free markets,” there have been troubling resignations, at least one (Ann Telnaes) b/c of being silenced. But as of today, no real signs of substantive change.

It’s Protest Day!

Red Wave

“I don’t like addressing groups, which is maybe not the best character trait for a stand-up comedian. So I was nervous, worried that I wouldn’t be smart or funny or handsome enough. (I’m obviously kidding. I was always going to be handsome enough.)” michaelianblack.substack.com/p/a-hopeful-...

There. Is. No. Plan.

I don't need or want people to suffer to feel great again because I'm not a sociopath. I want people to succeed and have financial stability and happiness for their families. But... Finding it hard to feel bad for all the wealthy folks who told me, "Eh, Trump won't be that bad. It won't hurt me."

PUPDATE: ORIGINS It’s the fifth anniversary of the day we got Sarge!

I don’t believe more warning signs are required…

The Lithuanian president showed up to honor dead American soldiers as their remains departed his country. The American president did not show up to receive their remains as they arrived in the US. He had a golf tournament to get to.

Devastating and true

Central Asia and Europe are warming twice as fast as the rest of the world. So we have put climate security and nature protection at the heart of our partnership. We’re partnering for this beautiful land and a better planet. My speech at the Samarkand Climate Forum → europa.eu/!9y4X67
