Serious question - is there a way where these tariffs make sense? Doesn’t the US lack comparable US-made options for Consumer Electronics, Critical Minerals; Apparel; Drugs; Tools/Appliances? So prices on those just go up? And for US options, what stops US companies from raising price to match?

Interesting trends in # of fed. workers. There were cuts in Dept of Ed. and EPA under both Trump & Biden. Total # of emps grew by ~ 80k under both. Both added mostly to VA, DHS, and HHS. Trump’s new cuts look to be focused on agencies that investigated him & Musk and ones that were previously cut.
