Enjoying an evening in Les Brasseurs, where luckily for me @bierenderanke are the Beers of the Month. The draft XXX Bitter is superb as is the bottle of San Fransisco Porter- which is weirdly described as a black lager! A great locals bar.

Another superb blue sky Sunday out at Grote Dorst today. Again warm enough to sit outside. Impressive Sako Oude Geuze, interesting 4 Pajot Geuze Gaasbeek and fantastic Grand Cru Bruocsella 2014 shared with Jacopo my Italian friend.

Always love a visit here. Classic Brugge bar. Great to meet up with @BonsVoeux1 again. Very De Dolle centred night. So many great Reservas. Of the Stille Nachts the 2020 is more barley wine and the 2017 has more sherry noted that I appreciate this at time.

Always enjoy visiting 't Parlement in Halle. Highly recommended. Huge choice of beers, friendly service. The @BrouwerijBoon Oude Geuze Mariage Parfait 2012 was absolutely superb.

Enjoyable cheese and De Dolle Stille Nacht pairing at Gebrande Winning today. The 2014*** has more caramel and vanilla and pairs very well with the Swiss Alpine cheese but the more rounded 2017** pairs with all the cheeses from washed, moulded to blue. Such a great beer to age.

Really enjoying the Lou Pépé Gueuze 2020. Smooth and soft tart. Mellow lemon, grapefruit and peach flavours and a lovely long, dry tannic finish. A great gueuze. At Cantillon bar.
