Hi Jay, thanks again for being at the spurs event last night. Could you remind me of the name of the young journalist you mentioned meeting at the AFCON? Keen to see what he does?

Ange isn’t good enough for this league. Two games and our midfield have been useless. Tel scores once he’s finally playing through the middle. In the first half Son, Moore, Tel all playing out of their best positions. No tactics, no plan, no hope. Bye Ange, thanks for the Manchester games.

Outstanding piece Ali, articulating everything I’ve been thinking overnight.

Exactly!!! I can’t get my head around why Reguilon doesn’t get a game. Ok not his preferred style of player but with all the injuries he could’ve rested Porro today to make sure he was fit for Thursday.

I’d love to agree but I think the team selections, even with the injuries, and the way the team is set up tactically has demonstrated that he’s not good enough for the premier league. He also needs to take the blame for many of the injuries

Its little things for me like, playing Werner upfront against Tamworth meant Solanke and Son came on and weren’t rested, lankshear did well against Galatasary but then hasn’t had a chance since. Appreciate another youngster but selections have meant others haven’t rested leading to more injuries

Injuries are a huge part of problem, so out of ange’s control but squad management, selection and style of play to blame as well.

Yes injuries are terrible but I think someone said 4 are caused by training ground. VDV first got injured playing left back, then injured coming back too soon. Romero came back too soon. Odobert back too soo, he’s left some players on the bench too long when he could’ve rested some.

Fair question. For me I’d play Spence in the right and Davies on the left, Porro badly needs a rest. Sadly that would mean Gray at centre half until others are fit. There just appears no shape today. I don’t see where Madders, Kulu, Porro, Gray or Son are supposed to be playing. It’s disorganised

I’m all for a project to change this team for the long term. Sadly I don’t see enough in how this team is coached or set up that makes me think Ange will make a project succeed. There are really good players here not being used effectively.

Worse for me Jack, simply because of the need to show some fight after midweek. Injuries are no excuse, this is a poorly coached team with players out of position. It’s not just about today, it’s poor team selections recently have caused injuries and fatigue for others. Ange has to go sadly.

After the first goal for spurs tonight, Darren Fletcher said “what a way to introduce yourself” when talking about Spence. He’s played several times before, been the centre of conte’s grump….how long after being involved in a first team squad can someone “introduce themselves”

Well couldn’t register him until Jan anyway. And depends what terms of the loan say

Really poor management of players. VDV picked up the injury because he played left back when he didn’t have a back up for Destiny. Clearly rushed back due to lack of centre halves and gets injured again. All avoidable with better squad management.

Hi Jay, they do this for every game. Not sure I understand why. They have 11 outfield players doing the warm up away from the subs.
