I finally visited Bizarre Brewing yesterday in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle. Going to breweries in industrial areas reminds me of visiting breweries 10+ years ago. Giant Steps Helles Below the Salt Stout Everything I've drank from Bizarre has been wicked good and I highly suggest visiting.

Bizarre Brewing Warminster Thing Aroma: smoked malt, cookies, grain Taste: light smoked corn, bread crust, cookies I'm not sure I've ever come across a smoked corn lager, but this is fantastic. It drinks heavier than a typical corn lager, great smoke flavor, and finishes sweet. 9.5/10

Lumberbeard Brewing Beach Llamas IPA Aroma: melon, guava, grape, pineapple Taste: cantaloupe, guava, orange, green grapes I'm tasting acidic orange, not pineapple, like I would expect. Lovely beer though. Super fruity. 8/10 #lumberbeardbrewing #beachllamas #beerreview #davesbeerreview

It's that time of year again! Russian River Pliny the Younger IIIPA. This is my favorite IPA! #russianriverbrewingcompany This beer is so smooth for 10.3%. Grapefruit, orange, pine, and floral. Fruity, sweet, and bitter. Lots of hops and maltiness. Great balance.

Cerebral Brewing Simulation Theory DIPA Aroma: mango, apricot, kiwi, melon Taste: orange, mango, passion fruit, kiwi, peach, melon ABV: 8.3% Other: creamy, slight bitter I've been off NEIPAs for awhile, but after a friend shared some Hop Butcher, I am back to explore the style! 8.8/10

2023 Firestone Walker + Side Project Rip This Joint BBA Imperial Stout Aroma: molasses, fudge, bourbon Flavor: bakers chocolate, molasses, fudge brownie, cinnamon, cherry, slight bitterness ABV: 13.9 I find stouts with excessive ABVs are often lacking balance, but this one hits the mark. 9/10
