“Musk's big breakthroughs are always about two years away…When the stock falters, Musk always runs the same play with a pledge to re-focus and a matching set of stories and demos of amazing new future breakthroughs…And typically, this sends the stock soaring.”

You don’t need to buy crypto to be harmed by it. My latest report shows how crypto is creeping into pensions, banks, public infrastructure—and putting working families at risk. We need guardrails, accountability & policy that protects the public. Read it here: www.brookings.edu/articles/pro...

📄 NEW: Rand Paul and Thomas Massie are emerging as vocal critics of Donald Trump and the ever-expanding federal budget — and the Putin regime agrees with them. Are they the new face of MAGA? My latest. america2.news/is-this-the-...

I found @davetroy.com very interesting. I'd not heard Project Russia mentioned before. ⤵️

Thank goodness someone’s saying what should be obvious. No way in hell is Musk gone.

"Major media channels and university professors (New York Times, CNN, Danielle Allen) have finally discovered Curtis Yarvin, the odious fascist troglodyte that experts on authoritarianism have warned about for a decade. But these outlets have rewarded Yarvin...amplifying his reach."

📄 NEW: Mass media is pushing the false narrative that Musk has 'left' government to focus on his companies. But the reality is that Musk fronts a cartel of related and accelerating interests. My latest. america2.news/musk-isnt-go...

I missed this article by Dave Troy. It's a good read and explainer.

📄 NEW: Cory Booker is considered by many as a leading contender for President in 2028. But his recent vote to confirm Charles Kushner as ambassador to France reveals a longstanding network of complicating ties. My latest. america2.news/is-cory-book...

“... figures tied to European extremist networks..Dominik Tarczynski of the Polish PiS party…Petr Bystron of the German far-right party, Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD). AfD was recently declared a national security threat by the German government and a “confirmed rightwing extremist” organization"

📄 NEW: Ed Martin is lying. No one has attempted to "weaponize" the government; the people he's after are those who have patriotically stood up for the Constitution and the rule of law. It's Martin that poses a threat to national security. america2.news/weaponizatio...

This is big. Higher borrowing costs ahead, as predicted. Higher energy prices (punching down at renewables) , higher borrowing costs (higher rates & risk) and higher deficits (tax cuts for the 1% & austerity for everyone else). So far Bessent’s 3 for 3 on 3-3-3. Cue stagflationady death spiral…

📄 NEW: Moody's is now the last of the big three credit rating agencies to downgrade U.S. sovereign debt from "AAA." Here's what that might mean in the context of the ongoing budget and debt standoff. My latest. america2.news/u-s-credit-d...

Trump is executing an agenda disconnected from any intelligence reporting. "Trump has sat for only 12 'daily' intelligence briefings since taking office" www.politico.com/news/2025/05...

Republicans have inserted language into the budget reconciliation bill that would ban states from regulating AI in any capacity for 10 years. States are the only ones who can even try to regulate AI in the US, since Congress has been captured by Big Tech.

📄 NEW: In the absence of effective political leadership, Pope Leo may provide an important cultural counterbalance to emergent global fascism — and the beginnings of a pathway out. america2.news/the-papacy-a...

MAGA, Opus Dei, Putin (and his Russian Orthodox Church/pet patriarch Kirill) have ideas about who should be Pope. But do they have the numbers? OPUS author @garethgore.bsky.social doesn't think so. Here's his analysis. substack.com/inbox/post/1...

It’s weird that Bessent won’t give a straight answer on the X-Date. As soon as he does, it creates a deadline for passage of the “big beautiful bill,” which perhaps cannot be met. We deserve full transparency on this.

Someone needs to do a PhD on why online prediction markets don’t work, because participants have zero actual pertinent information. They are, instead, a measure of chateratti vibes and stated desires of edgelords. Burn it all with fire.

ICYM my short piece of speculative fiction from last week, it touches on the meaning of the Papacy as respects current politics and is a good way to think about where things may be heading. america2.news/a-letter-fro...

Trump’s stupid Pope picture should be seen through the lens of “Project Russia” and “Third Rome” ideology; what they are broadcasting is a (desired) merger between US-Russia-Russian Orthodox Church-Catholic Church. Really. washingtonspectator.org/project-russ...

I had a great conversation with Reed Galen on 'The Home Front' podcast talking about the history behind what brought us to this moment and why conservatives and Russia both want to upend fiat currency. Check it out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ab1...

China can remain totalitarian longer than we can remain solvent. Never screw with people who have total control over their domestic information environment.

Sacks isn’t just a vatnik who worships at the throne of Putin. He will also almost certainly advocate on behalf of Storm, who laundered at least $1 billion in criminal proceeds, violated sanctions, and engaged in other criminal activity. www.dlnews.com/articles/reg...

National security agencies across the Trump administration are ramping up investigations into alleged leaks to the news media, in some cases using polygraph tests that current and former officials say are creating a climate of fear and intimidation.

[But you MUST read it] Letter from the future. Editor @davetroy.com ‘s note: this creative fiction essay attempts to convey abstract ideas that may be unfamiliar to most readers. More than one reading is recommended. Take the time to look up references, as needed. america2.news/a-letter-fro...

A thought provoking dystopia by @davetroy.com. The fictional aspect isn’t much of a stretch, frighteningly. My take away is that rather than simply waiting for the next awful news story, we might stop and think more deeply about the philosophical questions we face as individuals and as a culture.

In 2019, Curtis Yarvin (Peter Thiel’s “house philosopher”) began writing under his own name when American Mind, a Claremont publication, announced he’d write 5 essays for them. Matt Peterson—who is tied to the Thiel-backed Rockbridge Network via Firebrand Action—launched American Mind in 2018. 1/

‘Reality itself is under attack. Use your imaginations to create art that helps people see that this goes into dimensions well beyond politics.’ Dave Troy’s despatch feels like the best parts in Sinclair Lewis’ distopian US future in his novel ‘It can’t happen here’ from 1935

Sometimes, a piece of creative writing can reveal truth more clearly than non-fiction. Once again, @davetroy.com does not disappoint with his "Letter From The [Not Too Distant] Future." america2.news/a-letter-fro...
