Saw someone share this elsewhere. I couldn’t agree more! I have similar feelings about Star Wars, Star Trek, Batman, Marvel, and plenty of other fandoms. A new era does not erase yours. Be a good fan. Allow the next gen to share in what you love even if it might look different.
