Pardon my naïveté, but doesn’t SpaceX rely on data from NOAA and the National Weather Service?

Resurrecting a thread from a few years ago and bringing it over here: Do you know of a local business doing good work in the Seattle area? Now more than ever, it's important to support places that help build the communities we wish to see.

This is all so exhausting

We will soon be adding Seattle #Storm coverage on @emeraldspectrum.bsky.social! WNBA fans, make sure to #FollowTheSpectrum! 🏀

Seattle showing up

Do you remember when people speculated after his first term whether he would flee to Russia to escape prosecution? And now look where we are.

I have at least six flights to take this year and recent actions have made me a bit concerned for my safety, as if flying weren’t anxiety-inducing as it is.

Seattle folks: I'm giving a (free) public lecture Feb 24, where I'll explain what our team's decade of research on online rumors & disinformation reveals about the once-alternative media ecosystem that is driving the rise of right wing populism around the world. www.washington.edu/facultystaff...

Post Nirvana on #SNL50 concert: epic

Seattle Skyline:

Good night from Oliver #CatsOfBluesky

Live your life with such integrity that you don’t end up like this man at the age of 43.

Please assure me the Republic will survive.

A lot of people are feeling overwhelmed by the news lately. It can get to be so much that people are turning off their cellphones. That is not an option for 77-year-old Patti Gorman, a service learning coordinator at Seattle Central College. She has never had a smartphone. (via @kuow.org)

If you’re in WA and saw that silly animated ad about the state budget…that’s from a right-wing organization pushing austerity in order to prevent new taxes on the rich and on big business.

#FlyEaglesFly 🏈🦅

If only I could be as chill as Oliver. #CatsOfBluesky

Found solace in the visual arts at the Seattle Art Museum today as a short respite from the chaos going on in the world.

The Siberian cat is not sure what to make of this cold, white fluff #CatsOfBluesky

My running has continued to be a challenge with my knee pain. But today I managed to jog more than walk during my run so I was pleased with that. I am impatient with my training but optimistic it will work out in due time. #RunSky

IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN SEATTLE (?) This January was the sunniest in Seattle in at least the past 20 years at 65.5% average daily cloud cover. 20-year January average is 81% It also had one of only 4 days in the past 20 years where Sea-Tac reported 0 cloud cover for an entire day in January. #wawx

Since it’s becoming obvious that Trump’s mass deportation plan will wind up being an updated version of the Japanese internment of WWII, we need to be asking exactly what goals they hope to achieve with this, since that is central to the postwar understanding of the earlier episode. 3rd thread, 1/21

What is your fave small biz near/in Seattle? I’d love to check ‘em out.

Great news
