Had a revelation today. I was wondering why the The Horton Hears a Who (2008) score reminded me of Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone. Then I realized that composition also belonged to a scene where a character is looking for a needle in a haystack. It was an intentional homage. Movies are cool.
