Don't mean to brag but my band conducts special training exercises so that EVERYBODY has the institutional knowledge to rescue people who get locked in the bus or backstage bathroom. I realize most bands just have one guy (usually the drum tech) with the institutional knowledge to get people out.

True story. My ex’s stepdad worked for USAID. He was stationed in Laos, Chile, Manila, Peshawar and Mogadishu. When he passed away her mom told everyone the secret: he was CIA. The kids all said “Duh!” Don’t take this as an abolish the USAID post. But don’t pretend there isn’t a history there.

The wife gave me a suede shirt for Christmas. Not a jacket, a shirt. It’s the most luxurious thing I’ve ever owned. I figure I can wear it for about 6-8 weeks here in Georgia before it’s too warm. I’m wearing it every day til then. Students are beginning to notice. I don't care.
