May 1: At Beltane, the Goddess is in her Maiden aspect: joyful, wild, blossoming with possibility. She is sometimes represented as the May Queen, crowned in flowers and associated with growth, sensuality, and the blossoming of nature.

Venus is back in Aries, and the temperature just went up.

Don't miss the Moon and Jupiter tonight in the west after sunset.

Sunrise at Stonehenge today (28th April ) was at 5.45am, sunset is at 8.24pm ☀️

About 60 minutes after sunset on April 28, 2025, the thin waxing crescent Moon (28 Taurus) will lie low above the western horizon with Jupiter (21 Gemini) nearby. On April 29, a thicker crescent Moon will be nearer Jupiter. Look for lovely a glow of earthshine on the unlit portion of the Moon.

The Dark Moon is the waning crescent phase of the Moon right before the New Moon- aka, the balsamic phase of the Moon. Unlike the New Moon- the Dark Moon isn’t a time for manifesting, but for contemplation, introspection, meditation, and endings- before the promise of the New Moon can take shape.

The very powerful opposition between Mars and Pluto is in effect all (this) weekend long- leading up to the Super New Moon at 8° Taurus (conjunct the star Hamal- the Ram's Horn) on Sunday- that forms a potent t-square with the Mars-180-Pluto.

All the transiting planets are currently in direct motion until May 4, when Pluto (power, coercion, upheavals, regeneration, & transformation) stations retrograde at 3° Aquarius 49".

The easiest way to see Venus in the daytime is to start when it’s still night. Find Venus near the sunrise point in the morning. Be sure to position it near a tree, lamppost or building in your foreground. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to pick out Venus, once you know where to look.

On April 27 (New SuperMoon in Taurus), bright Venus will reach its greatest brilliancy in the morning sky- near Saturn & Mercury. Over the next 5 weeks, it will climb further from the eastern horizon, losing some brightness each day. Venus will reach its greatest distance from the Sun May 31-June 1

Morning star #Venus is at her greatest brightness and brilliancy this week, in the east before dawn. Also note, that Venus reaches the Crown Chakra Gate- a sacred moment in her mythic descent, symbolized by the waning crescent Moon conjunct Venus (8° orb) in the early morning sky April 24.

April 18: Today is the last full day of Aries season. And tomorrow the Sun enters the fixed earth sign of #Taurus, the Bull- known for being slow, steady, sensual, resourceful, deliberate, and productive. But the Sun then forms a super intense t-square with Mars (0 Leo), and Pluto (3-4 Aquarius).

‪Transiting #Mars is in #Leo from April 18th to June 17th- but first entered Leo on Nov. 3rd, 2024, & retrograded back to Cancer on Jan. 6th, 2025. Mars is more emboldened to take charge, assert, and initiate the agenda- and do so with drama, & showmanship- as it transits the sign of Leo the Lion.

In the evening hours of April 13 and 14, the waning gibbous moon is near Spica and the moderately bright star in Libra the Scales- Zubenelgenubi. Spica is a springtime star. But Zubenelgenubi is a summer star. Summer is coming … Watch for this scene to rise late evening and be visible through dawn.

Love is from Venus- and Venus is turning direct today, after a retrograde period that began on March 1. Enjoy.

April 12-13: The Full Moon at 23° Libra (-0- auspicious star Spica) that opposes (-180-) Chiron (in Aries), represents an opportunity to restore a semblance of fairness, balance, health, and harmony- both within, and without (with others).

The creative, self-assertive, self-centered individual (Aries) seeks to become aware of others, and to develop objective cooperation with them (Libra); the rational & reasonable individual, adept at compromise & cooperation (Libra) seeks to develop initiative, self-assertion, & independence (Aries).

Ma'at is a personification of the Libra archetype The goddess Ma’at was an ancient Egyptian deity responsible for keeping the universe balanced- epitomizing divine order, morality, justice and truth- and she was the force that kept chaos from engulfing the ordered world of the ancient Egyptians.

The Pink Moon (23 Libra), aka, the Paschal Moon, will occur on April 12, marking the first full moon of spring. This celestial event is significant as it helps determine the date of Easter- and this year's Pink Moon will be a micromoon, appearing smaller than usual due to its distance from Earth.

Transiting #Jupiter gets an upgrade when it enters #Cancer, sign of its exaltation, on June 9, for one year. Jupiter is generally benefic, & indicates favorable outcomes- but even more so in Cancer- wherein Jupiter signifies a strong emphasis on emotional well-being, nurturing, & family connections.

April 12: Venus turns direct on a micro, pink full moon in Libra that conjoins the auspicious star Spica (linked with Demeter). The new San Francisco park Sunset Dunes is scheduled to officially open to the public on April 12. www.sfgate.com/local/articl...

Alcyone (0 Gemini 20)- the Weeping Star, is the leader of the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters. And transiting Uranus (liberating, and/or disruptive) will conjoin Alcyone and the Pleiades on July 15, 2025, October 30, 2025, and May 3, 2026. (A once in 84 year event, btw.) tinyurl.com/3v3wckb7

Still retrograde until Apr. 12, #Venus has already made her heliacal rise on Mar. 29 (10° from Sun)- and thus began her new 584-day synodic overstory in Pisces- the first time in Pisces in over 100 yrs. The heliacal rise of Venus was seen by the Maya as an unsettling influence.

On April 12 (Full Moon in Venus-ruled Libra that conjoins the auspicious star Spica), tr. Venus will station direct @ 24 Pisces 34, after a 42 day retro period. And the Venus principle of love, beauty, Eros, artistic activities, harmony & aesthetic or sensuous pleasure- will be notably emphasized.
