i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

This!! This is how you deal with Nazism. You avoid it like the evil that it is. 👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿

A good read. Honestly, with Musk trying to run the US government and other governments, I do not see how he has time to manage any of his companies… though I suspect that others do this for him and are responsible for their success (except for Twitter/X, which he is running into the ground).

Why do we even have confirmation hearings any more? Republicans nominate the least qualified people to ever draw breath, and those nominees dodge, refuse to answer questions, and outright lie. AND IT DOESN’T BECAUSE THE NOMINATING PARTY WILL PUSH THEM THROUGH REGARDLESS.

And none of this “school voucher” stuff either. I do not want my public tax dollars used to fund private school tuition.I do not even have kids.

This is advice every dem politician should take to heart. Don’t sell against the competition. Sell what you are doing to reduce people’s stress and make their life better It’s not about what’s wrong with the competition. It’s about what is right with you

Fun fact: If you were half as reckless, irresponsible and prejudiced in your words, deeds and actions as the President of the United States, you'd probably get fired from your job.

Yes! He is a veritable legend in his own mind!

Anyone who has ever been in the military knows that if it happens on your watch, you own it. It was YOUR responsibility. No Commanding Officer wants to hear jack shit about what the guy on the watch before you did if the event in question happened on YOUR watch. So, thank you, DJT, for $7 a dz eggs.

Congrats to Judge Paul Friedman in DC for refusing to allow Trump’s DOJ to erase history.

DEI is not the problem. N*zis. N*zis are the problem.

The post quoted below made me think. We should not call them names; We should call them out for their bad behavior and for the actions of the administration for which they voted. In short, “Just the facts”. (But dang… Calling them names would sure FEEL good. It just won’t fix the problem we face.)

This!! 👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿

He makes this assertion with zero evidence.

“.. I leave you with this quote from former US Navy pilot Jack McCain, son of the late Senator John McCain:” (via @bloomberg.com)

“We are setting up our cabinet, but we’re not sending our best. We’re bringing people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

I’m just going to leave this here…

i just cannot get over how much the administration’s response to the crash shows a profound disrespect for the lives of the people they are supposed to serve

We used to all hold our breath hoping a shooter wasn’t a Muslim or a trans person. Now we gotta worry if the air traffic controller was Black?! Do you see how far they have moved the window?

What is the deal with the Republican Party and their withholding of medical and scientific information? It’s almost they are trying to hide information they don’t like. (That was sarcasm — We all know that they are). Americans want transparency from their government.

The current administration is not honoring their campaign promise to address the high price of eggs and of groceries (“Very simple word, groceries. Like almost — you know, who uses the word? I started using the word — the groceries.”) You think maybe they didn’t mean it? 😮

Trump’s move to blame the crash on diversity reflects his instinct to immediately frame major events through his political lens whether facts fit or not. After the terrorist attack in New Orleans, he blamed immigration even though the attacker was a US citizen born in Texas.

This is an appropriate response to make following a plane crash. We must mourn the lives lost and comfort the loved ones of the victims. There has been no investigation of the crash yet so its cause is unknown. It would be wrong for anyone (especially non-experts) to speculate as to its cause.

We are watching in realtime the systematic unraveling of decades aviation safety accident investigative precedent and process from the President of the United States.

Stop fucking saying he blamed “DEI,” which is some abstract, non-tangible idea. He is blaming people of color having jobs he thinks they aren’t qualified for. He’s blaming race. He’s being racist every time he says it. Journalists need to get fucking backbones, my word.

ah yes, the party of personal responsibility, proudly ensures we all know the buck stops anywhere but here.

This is "excellence"? And the result of "ending the DEI madness"?

Using the tragic plane collision over the Potomac that cost 67 human souls as an occasion to slam DEI hiring was obscene. There’s zero evidence at this point that an underqualified air traffic controller or pilot had any role in this crash.

Donold is blaming a plane crash that killed 67 people on “DEI” with zero evidence. He is attempting to use racism to deflect from the fact it is HIS fault. He had just removed 100 FAA senior officials. It’s been 11 days and there are 67 bodies in the Potomac in Washington DC because of him.

Former Secretary of Transportation--who was not on The Real World or Road Rules--weighs in on the President's efforts to blame the fatal air traffic accident on DEI.

This! And I wonder when even his supporters will start calling this out.

Watching these red states attack federal funding—apparently not realizing that most of their states are broke and would completely collapse without it—will always be hilarious to me. “Give it all back to the states!” Sit down, Cletus. Your state can’t buy sandwiches for kids.

Good advice.
