Currently the most beautifully orchestrated piece of scrap paper in my inventory.

Silly Sunday Doodles.

I usually suck big time at value sketches - I do them, with full knowledge that I will absolutely disregard them throughout the process. This is me trying to do better.

Cheers from the studio :)

Textures in a pretty light.

My anxiety monster is one of constant medical self analysis - always watching always warry.

Money corrupts art. I have a hard time imagining this not being true.

I've always struggled a lot with color. This study turns me a bit more optimistic about what might be possible.

2024 has been a great year when it comes to painting and god damn I'm looking forward to continue that energy in 2025. Show me your favorites of the last year - would love to see some.

Two of my favourite pieces this year: monochrome, acrylic ink-wash paintings for fictional book covers (one can dream, right?)

Two years ago, my friend's dad visited Nepal to climb the Ama Dablam. While successfully doing so is impressive enough, the real deal here is that he was also documenting the process for a charity event that later gathered a respectable sum of money to go to the organisation ChildVision Nepal. (1/4)

References really carried my artworks for the last few years and while I think good picture references will stay an integral part of my process, breaking free from the constrains they come with feels like an important step. I put en emphasis on drawing more without reference and it helps a lot.

Mother Nature Acrylic ink, digital This one definitely didn't turn out the way I wanted, but it was a nice opportunity to experiment with digital textures. The process involved fun and creative steps, such as cropping the frame by literally sawing pieces off the canvas - might have been a first.

Gentle reminder, if you are #art interested and don't yet know of THU, to go and check out their sketchbook series where each time a different artist walks you through one/some of their sketchbook(s). This one is with a personal favorite of mine, Donato Giancola. ( @donatoarts.bsky.social )

The Willow Knight - from Obliskura

Looks like I'll be attending this workshop next year. I am stoked, to say the least.

Inspired by the short story "A memory of wind" (Rachel Swirsky) and one of my favorite #paintings I did this year. The story is a retelling of the Achilles myth, from the perspective of Iphigenia, daughter of King Agememnon and a real treat to read (+ freely available). ( #art )

Path of Exile 2, so far, has been the most fun I had with a video game, probably since Baldurs Gate released. Finishing a bigger painting, right at the day of the early access start was the recipe for a perfect weekend.

Excuse the intensity, but I'd die for this one mid sized rigger brush I have. Kinda sorry for my other paint brushes. Must be hard being so exorbitantly inferior.

Junkie What began as a quest for knowledge ended up becoming an addiction. From the book of Numinous, 2018.

If I didn't paint this myself, I'd have a lot of lovely things to say about it. But as it stands, I feel a bit stupid complimenting myself. I'll say as much: I'm rather proud.

A V O I D A N C E Acrylic ink on fabriano.

Seems like every new social platform is first and foremost greeting me with furry art and I'm starting to question if the common denominator might be me.

Every artist secretly thinks they are also a designer. And since, more often than not, that's not true, all the cool and fancy type design here was done by my girlfriend, who clearly is such a designer and more importantly, I clearly am not. You should see me in Indesign, you'd cry.
