Soaking up the Rejayjay vibes…

When in Rome… Bison tenderloin with Saskatoon Berry Reduction. Sasky goodness!

Being in Saskatchewan right now reminds me of when I first went on the road to play. Everyday was a day of discovery. Music, food, coffee, and women! You had to know the best places for all of the above! One of our favourite artists was the late, great Magic Sam.

Saturday Night! The Boogie comes to Regina! See you there!

This is serendipitous. I plan on visiting Ken Hamm and other folks while I’m out here in Saskatchewan. Meanwhile, a radio station in Australia played my song Moose Hall Brawl, but gave it the title Moose Hamm Brawl 🤷🏻‍♂️I’ve never had Moose Hamm. Perhaps it’s tasty?? 🍖

Regina SK hotel room still life. I ache in the places where I used to play…

I wanna live with a Cinnamon Swirl. I’d be happy the rest of my life with a Cinnamon Swirl.

I’ve only been on the road for an hour and I’m already at Timmy’s!! Layover at YVR before I head to Saskatchewan. Did you know that I was once married in the town of Forget SK at a Big Lebowski event by a justice of the peace who was also the local hairdresser and mayor? It’ll be in the book!

Went down to say hello to Colin James and the lads at soundcheck…

Steve Marriner gets ready for soundcheck on his Birthday Bass! He rocks with Colin James and the boys in Nanaimo tonight and tomorrow !

More radio play for my Juno Nominated album! YEAH!!

Class move from Sir Paul!

I think that this is the actual rig that I played through to record Moose Hall Brawl. Jimmy Bowskill’s Gretsch through a vintage Gibson amp. Speaking of which, the band and I rock The Moose Lounge in South Nanaimo on March 15!! Join us!!

If you ever happen to visit the Royal Albert Hall in London. In the lobby there's this mural by Peter Blake (he designed The Sgt Pepper album cover) and if you look (I've drawn an arrow here ) you'll see a photo of yours truly just above Roger Daltrey! RS

I went down to the basement to get this OG Gator 2 guitar case! Goldy won’t fit, so I haven’t used this for awhile. It has taken abuse in the past and hopefully won’t fall apart on me! I’ll have to check in with some guitar pals to see about other options. Just trying to cut costs!

More searching through my archives and I found this card with Earl King AND Buddy Guy’s autograph! I saw them chatting in the hospitality area on the other side of a chain link fence at the Sanfrasisco Blues Fest when I was about 17. Who knew that they both had such wonderful penmenship??

Wanna go upstairs and listen to records?!? You can order my Juno nominated album (and other releases!) right here cordovabaystore.bigcartel.com/product/pre-...

I just received these cool images from Jake Banky’s 90th birthday bash on Hornby Island. Tim Williams, Kevin Belzner and I were honoured to be the entertainment and Hornby is always 2 hoots and a holler!

Farewell to Joey Molland, sadly the last member of Badfinger…

Happy Sunday from Horsie! She paid extra for a window seat…

Trivia question for Vancouver Island peeps! Judging by this photo, where did I have lunch recently??

Happy 81st birthday to Roger Daltrey!

Martin D-35. I never thought that I would be a Martin guy, but then I got on a Stephen Stills kick about 10 years ago, and I started strumming around. I found this sweet lady and she had to be mine! She’s my songwriting axe, never played a show with her, no pickup. She is special!

Don’t turn your back on me, baby! I am excited to play The Dream Cafe in Penticton with my band on April 5. I usually play solo there, so this way we can play songs from the new album . Info here www.simpletix.com/e/david-gogo...

New strings are strung! I’ll be back to Stratocasting in no time!

OK! Goldy gets a rest when I head to Sasky next week. I have decided that since I have a case that holds 2 guitars, I’m bringing these two ladies. Goldy doesn’t fit in it properly, and Sticker Strat has memories out there! The Bronco will be the slide axe.

When I was young,I would go over to Vancouver and sneak into venues to catch any blues acts. This was before selfies, so I would ask for autographs. Some of the older guys must not have been used to that and were perplexed, because they would end up signing their name AND their address!

More Flashback Friday! Bob Dylan on a Black Beauty Les Paul, Rick Danko and Neil Young on a Telecaster. I wonder what songs they played?

Flashback Friday! Marc Bolan (T. Rex) tunes his gorgeous Les Paul using a pitch pipe while sporting a pink tuxedo jacket and dandy footwear!

Buy a ticket, enjoy the show! YEAH!

Tickets on sale now!! South End Boogie!! #nanaimo

I head out to rock Saskatchewan soon! The province holds many memories for me and we are about to make more! Hope to see you out in that flat land!!

I got to visit 2 pretty ladies yesterday! A Les Paul Black Beauty from the late 60s / early 70s and an ancient Martin, which was almost TOO sweet! Oh, and more baked goods from Chemainus!

Who needs a sticker.

YEAH!!

I just saw these images from one year ago in Constance Bay, ON. Very cool! We need to do this again! (Part 1 / 2) Rheal Doucette photography.

Canadian approved. Juno award nominee. Off you go. Shoo. Buy the tickets.

Go see Dave & band!

Holy Schnikies, check this oooot! Nanaimo and area, let’s boogie! Tickets on sale tomorrow!

#GoHabsGo!!!

OK, I feel that I can say this now that he has been gone for so long. HEADLESS GUITARS ARE UGLY!! I played Johnny Winter’s Lazer at soundcheck with his band once, and it SUCKED!! I hated it!! But, it was cool to play through his rig! (Music Man amp.)

Another famous birthday today, Zeppo Marx! Although he is commonly seen as a lesser talent than his brothers, this is far from the truth and his accomplishments outside of their act are quite remarkable.

Late breakfast today. Sometimes you gotta rock some tots!!!

Happy heavenly birthday to George!

One of my favourite acoustic blues artists is Booker T. Washington “Bukka” White. Rough and ready! His raw, percussive playing on his National and his growling voice are right up my alley! I perform his song Aberdeen Missippi Blues at most of my solo shows.
