In 2024, 74,000 cancer patients in England didn’t start their treatment on time - enough people to fill Old Trafford. Remembering the iconic and extraordinary Buster Keaton who died on this day in 1966 💖

Unbelievably brilliant actor and film maker. And an incredible life story, too.

Says a lot that about 90% of the traffic I’m seeing on X right now is absolutely convinced the British govt is about to embark on a mass programme of state murder of the elderly and vulnerable. What was until recently the town square of politics has become the preserve of the bad, mad and deranged.

Proud to be with fellow @cancerresearchuk.org Campaign Ambassadors this week at our 'Parliament Day' and meeting our MPs as we continue our campaign for a #SmokeFree future leading to #LongerBetterLives

@lewisgoodall.com so much talk about not enough time being devoted to today's debate so maybe they should let MPs speak without constantly having to give way?

In Parliament today in my role as @cancerresearchuk.org Campaigns Ambassador with my MP @DavidPintoD and fellow Ambassador, Julie to thank David for his continued support of our campaigns, especially the legislation to reduce the age of sale of tobacco.

Such a great film.

In the UK the so-named 'Post Office scandal' and the 'Cladding scandal' have in common the years of suffering of its respective victims (including my so-far 5-year wait for cladding removal), and the total failure of respective governments to turn words and promises into actions. Shameful.

Christmas gets earlier every year.

This is 'Happy'. He tells me that he's the best dog in the world. I think so, too.

I love funny-named streets. This one in Bicester, Oxford UK

Love this show so much, and the new one is fun, too.

Great programme.

The great Buster Keaton did all his own stunts.

First day here so zero followers so far. Am an active volunteer with Cancer Research UK, big fan of old movies, especially anything with Buster Keaton, a retired teacher, had a few books published, living in London, love dogs and cats, cladding campaigner.
