This is pretty cool. I’ve wanted to rewatch the Queensÿche episode.

One of my tools as a critic had been a Twitter list called, "Top Journalism Linkers." Designed so that I could survey the space. It was the first thing I read in the morning. When I left it had 6.8K users. Over the weekend I rebuilt it for Bluesky. You can subscribe. bsky.app/profile/jayr...

Is he auditioning for a role as one of the boys in "Oliver!"?

It's all out in the open.

I don't know why, but I thought of this bit of dialogue from the movie "Top Secret!" just now: Hillary Flammond: My uncle was born in America. Nick Rivers: Oh, really? Hillary Flammond: But he was one of the lucky ones. He managed to escape in a balloon during the Jimmy Carter presidency.

There’s a very apt observation in this piece of music. #GoBlue

Well done, Chris Kluwe! If you click on the post below, you can navigate up to a post with a story about what he was protesting in Huntington Beach, California, or down for summaries in the replies.

Cool.

🙄

Isn’t it rare that a team trades a player during the season and then signs him as a free agent during that immediate offseason? I can’t think of that happening, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.

Hahahahaha! www.dispatch.com/story/news/p...

Oh, hell no, Pritzker. Keep your FIP hands off Lake Michigan. You can do whatever you want with Green Bay, though. www.instagram.com/reel/DFyJ-WZ...

All hail the Superb Owl!

I was just thinking the other day that a “next generation” Buffy series or movies could work with original characters making occasional appearances to guide the younger slayers and their friends. The Audible story from 2023 shows some of the original cast are interested in continuing the Buffyverse.

Cool!

I had been thinking of taking a vacation to DC this spring. If I still go, maybe I'll make it a road trip instead of flying.

What to expect from the Tigers’ new reliever, at least in what he’ll be throwing.

I hope everyone at the NWS who has to reference the Gulf of Mexico by what Trump wants to call it rolls their eyes every time they write it. 🙄

Cool.

Tigers vs. Charlie Hough knuckleballs.

I was a little apprehensive about this, but the commercial is good.

An account I follow quoted this, and my first thought upon seeing “VH” was: What does Van Halen have to do with any of this?

Maybe they’ll be sent from bases in the northern U.S. and they can enjoy the nice, warmer weather in southern Tex— oh, wait.

This isn’t new. There have been Border Patrol checkpoints along I-8 near Yuma for years. They were there in January 2009 when I made the trip from Tucson to San Diego and back.

Insert line about leopards eating faces here.

This sermon should not be remarkable, but considering its audience, it is.

Ha!

Not sure that the NFC North can claim having the best coaching after the three teams that made the postseason couldn’t win a playoff game.

Oh, he did it twice.

During the beginning of the inauguration when the dignitaries were being escorted to their seats, I changed the channel to the Paramount Network, which was showing “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” it was at the scene where Indy fights the muscular Nazi around the airplane. It seemed somehow appropriate.

The least believable item on this page is that Trump would own a dog or say he loves cute puppies.

Mmmmm… ham-packed…

This is a great story about a guy who’s fun to root for.

Ah, nuts. Bob Eucker will always be one of the best storytellers in baseball history. He’s also one of the more memorable beer pitchmen. This is one of my favorites of his commercials: youtu.be/Huu0Dfh9WIQ?...

Sounds promising.

If you know someone in the Los Angeles area who’s lost a pet, they can check with the Pasadena Humane Society to see if they’re there.
